Reminder: Chapter Two Patron Acknowledgements
Added 2022-06-10 23:38:48 +0000 UTC
It's just about time to get started on the Chapter Two Patron Acknowledgement pages, so a "call to action," as they say:
IF you would like to be publicly acknowledged by a different name, or anonymously, or would specifically not like to be acknowledged, or would just like to be very specific about your name, please fill out this form. It's quick and easy!
For more details, here's the previous post on the topic. TL;DR: for Chapter One, I made a "Butcher's Bill." For Chapter Two, it's going to be a "Star Chart."
If you are a patron as of the time that I make the Star Chart, then you're on the chart unless you specify otherwise.
HOW'S THE FLATTING COMING ALONG?
Tell you what, I only have about a day and a half's worth of flatting to go! Then all 88 pages of Chapter Two will be ready for colour!

That'll be wrapped up early next week, and then I'm taking the toddler into the woods to teach him how to survive in the wilderness if all you have is a car and an ipad and camp chairs and a propane stove and a bunch of friends, one of whom is taking an RV. I spend a lot of time thinking about how it's not exactly the same as "roughing it" in the eighteen hundreds, when your "luxury" was taking salt and pepper to season the game you caught along your travels. And yet, it still feels like I have a lot of stuff to prepare. Like, a few years ago I learned how to tie some useful knots to go on a week-long canoe-camping trip, but I haven't practiced the knots since, so they've completely fallen out of my head. *sigh*
Anyway, FINISHED PAGES ARE COMING SOON! <Rubs hands together gleefully>
WHAT ELSE IS UP, DOC?
Someone uploaded a tonne of old WB cartoons to Archive dot org. I am cross-referencing it against this Wikipedia list of Chuck Jones' work, because a thing I confirmed not long ago is that the Chuck Jones shorts are the only ones I really love, but love them I do, very much. Maurice Noble's layout work is astonishing. There aren't enough good words in the English language for these beautiful cartoons.
