Continuing Chapter Two Inks: the Wisdom of Birds

Got to ink some of my favourite panels from Chapter Two this week. I'm especially happy with that very first panel of the bunch, walking into the chapel. The inks only hint at the light and atmosphere I'd like for the image, so I'm excited for colouring.

I'm also very happy with "scronk." I will admit I did not look to figure out exactly what sort of sounds storks make, but if scronk is not correct, I have a strong feeling that it's scronk-adjacent.

Bit of a shorter update today—I haven't had time to put together thoughts on cliffhangers, though that's been on my mind a lot over the last few weeks, and I've been keeping an eye out for positive and negative examples in my reading/listening. I plan to put something together in the next few weeks, ideally in the form of a public post.

EL CAMINO UPDATE

I have also found it increasingly difficult to make time for my work on the "El Camino" interactive short story project. At the border line of "you are taking up too much of my time," it has crossed over to the wrong side. If I don't wrap it up soon, I'm going to be flirting with an unsustainable workload, and I very much do not want to burn out, so the next chapter will be the final chapter in this current short story. I have been enjoying it immensely; I love checking in on the vote results. I get a little tingle of suspense before clicking through to see them. If it's been fun for you, too, let me know, and if I get the bandwidth to be able to try it again in the future, I'll know whether it's worthwhile to do it in this format!

PROGRESS!

Oh dang, only a quarter of Chapter Two left to ink. The next sequence is a lot of acting and character business, and since that means there are fewer church interiors to render in perspective and with detail, I'm optimistic it'll go pretty quickly.
