In which we discover that our heroine has a vivid imagination.
As an aside, I very much enjoy the line, "I can climb wherever I like… I am an English Lady."
And of course, considering how heavily pirates are built-up as villains, do you think Pirates will end up actually being the villains of the story? Only time will tell, but I would not put money on it, dear friends.
The hardest image to colour here was the big pirate flag, which I assumed would be simple. I still am not happy with how it reads. I will have to revisit that in the future.

Apparently I posted "page 9" last time, but it was actually p08 in my page-numbering system, and you know what? I'm just going to use my file-system page numbers, which are not actually the page numbers, but which make sense to me, at least.
You will also notice that I've posted six pages here instead of four, like last week. I'm posting them in chunks that I think make for satisfying story beats, and I didn't want to end on the fourth page above. Ending here, on the first stirring of DD's doubt, is more entertaining to me.

Thank you, again, for the kind word on last week's pages! <a scattering of heart emoji>
