I have just sent Patreon direct messages out to the first three members of the TRAVELING COMPANION tier asking for details and reference photos for the cameos they would like included in DD4. Seems like a good time to air out some thoughts on how this might work.

I am messaging TRAVELING COMPANIONS in chronological order. The earlier you joined at that tier, the sooner I'll be asking for reference photos.
The likeness does not have to be you. It could also be a loved one or a friend, assuming you have their permission.
Within reason, and to the best of my human ability, I will work with you to make sure the likeness is a point of pride, that it makes you smile to see it in place.
Potential "roles" will, in the future, include: villagers (any gender, adults and children, friendly and otherwise), sailors (male), and pirates (of any gender). If there is a specific role you would like to claim, don't hesitate to let me know!
What happens if you change a tier, out of necessity or desire? Well, it's still *relatively* quiet around here, so perhaps we can treat that on a case-by-case basis. As of this writing, there ought to be enough opportunities available that I can be flexible on this.
I'll need at least one reference photo from you. I will not reproduce these photos elsewhere (i.e., posting them on social media) without your permission/encouragement.
