How Often Should I Post?

Like it says on the tin: how often would you like to see posts on this Patreon campaign?

Seems like Patreon sends out an email every time I post something, so assuming you are in full control of when/if you receive those emails, and it's not a nuisance, do you have an opinion on how often I put up new posts?

Any other thoughts? Slammer-jam them into the ol' comment section.

* If you select "MORE POSTS PLZ," note that this will almost certainly have a detrimental effect on both the quality of posts AND progress on DD4.

I have email notifications for Patreon turned off and just check it sporadically throughout the week. Because unlike social media it's actually chronological so I usually see most posts. :)

What they said!

Please don't feel pressured to post. Post when you think it's something you'd like to share. Would prefer that you have flexibility too. Be well!

I dig all your posts but I know it’s as much work putting them together as creating the art is. Maybe aim for one or two posts a week and create a backlog so you don’t always feel the pressure of “I need to post.” Running a patreon myself, I’ve learned that patrons are pretty chill about posts and don’t fret about them the way we creators do.

My personal opinion: First and foremost priority is DD4. Everything on Patreon that isn't getting you to that goal is expendable ;)

I'm here because of what you do and the way you do it. So keep sharing as you see fit, instead of trying to please the audience. You are already doing it by being as you are :) Look forward to the next one!

I love seeing the whole process and your posts always feel as if you are also super excited to share what you are doing. <3

All my Patreon notices are filtered into a Gmail folder, so post away! I'm just ecstatic to get another DD. :]

There's always a balancing act between keeping your audience satisfied, growing your audience, and feeding your creative work. I've seen a lot of creators get bogged down by the monthly slog of trying to post, and I'd hate to see that happen. Speaking for myself, I love any glimpses into the process, and I'm definitely here because I want to see DD4 come to fruition, and would hate to have more frequent patreon postings hinder that. As others have said, we would love to see anything you want to share as frequent or infrequent as you need.

Let your conscience be your guide. You have something cool to share, that's great. You need some uninterrupted work time, that is understandable.
