Thinking of your answer regarding the parts of your mother that live on in you made me reflect on the same question as it pertains to me. I think your mother would be very proud of you and who you are today. When I first joined it was on a whim but I immediately watched a newly posted birthday video and that cemented it for me. I knew that anyone who took the time to reach out and wish each individual a Happy Birthday was someone who cares, not about fame or popularity but about being thankful and genuine. It is rare to see honesty and thankfulness put before fame and/or greed but you embody it and you have never faltered. That means a lot and it speaks volumes about your character. It is easy to tell people what they want to hear but you lead by example and always put what is right before anything else. For that alone I think your mother would be very proud. One answer that saddened me was when you mentioned you had dropped your armor and exposed all your vulnerabilities (or something close to that) and it was used against you. It not only saddened me but upset me. To expose all of oneself means there is trust and honesty and for someone to break that and turn what is held most dear against a person is unfathomable. There are lines in life we simply don't cross out of respect for the other person and no matter how we feel - you can be upset, furious, absolutely pissed off - but you never use what has been entrusted to you as sacred and vulnerable and throw that back at someone. Never. I'm sorry you experienced that and the pain that went with it. That is an unbelievable breach of trust. I'm sorry this is so long. I really wanted to touch on those two answers in particular because they tugged at my heart. ❤

Your answers are so honest, sincere, & never fail to trigger my own deep thoughts. Your answer regarding the parts of your mother that live on in you really touched me & had me a bit emotional. I’ve realized since my own mom’s passing, 12 years ago, that a great deal of the positive growth in my life has been a direct result of the parts of her that live on in me. For what it’s worth, I think that your mom would be incredibly proud of the man that you are today. 💕 There’s something really endearing about picturing you sitting in a lawn chair on your trailer property for the first time. I love hearing you share about the trailer & the lake. Everyone needs a place like that, where your soul finds bliss. Speaking of, I really hope that you’re going to be spending some time there soon!! Also... Thank you SO MUCH for telling us about the name “Don Ass-tronaut”... 😂 I had a really good laugh reimagining all of your pictures with you wearing just an astronaut helmet. 🤣 And, just to maybe let you know that your hopes aren’t in vain... I guess that I can only speak for myself, but, I think that you have a really, really good heart. You’re a good man Hank Miller. At least I think so. ❤️

I’ve found dropping my armor gets easier with age and that it can, at times, require conscious practice. You may shed more than you give yourself credit for. Brene Brown has some intriguing work on the idea of connection, vulnerability, shame, and guilt. If you are not familiar with her work, her TedX Talk on The Power of Vulnerability is a quick listen.

The little story of how you came up with your first trailer is funny. I love what you said about your mother and what she taught you. And how you see yourself, what is important to you and to others. To mention a few things I really liked: The Shining quote made me giggle. 😆 Coincidentally I just watch it the other day. I loved what you said about what your mother taught you. I'm sure if she could see you now, she would be very proud of the man you are today. ❤️ Dropping the armor I can relate to. I was lucky enough to have had someone in my life who made me feel so safe and so protected that I could drop all my "walls" and let them see the real me. Not just the facade everyone else sees. And I totally expect to hear that squeaky chair in an audio one day. 😂 I really loved all the answers but those are just a few things I wanted to comment on. ❤️🤗
