Angel & Demon Lovers 2 (complete)

   Part One

The Heavenly Choir isn’t what you think it is. In fact, if any human were to the Choir, they would instantly die from horror and shock. The sound is not the angelic singing and revelry that’s become popular in the mindset of humans. The sound is like the soul-wrenching from the body, screaming, angry, ferocious, and unkind. Inhuman as possible would be the only way some people could begin to comprehend it.

So when the Choir came to me late one evening, needless to say, I was terrified out of my mind.  It’s not often that the Choir appears, in fact, the last time they showed up was when Astarot, or Mother, was put to sleep.

I was unprepared for the visit even though I had been expecting it for a long time. I had fallen in love with the demon Seir, and on earth, I can copulate with him. I knew it was only a matter of time before my great transgression was found out and that the choir would cast me aside.

The Choir announced to me, shaking me from my physical form and into my true one. Like most angels, I am dark in complexion. But as the Choir screams my name over and over while my banishment is announced, their bright light starts to bleach my skin. Much like what we did to the demons during their defection. I stare in horror as my body becomes milky white, the dark color of my skin is fading away.

The dark color of the angels was why the earth was rich and dark. God made it to symbolize us and humanities endearing connection with the divine. The milky white of the demons, and now me, was much like the mark of Cain.

The choir leaves me shaking and crying, and once they are gone, Seir comes to me. His gentle hand lays on my back, and he kneels beside me.

“Let them leave,” he replies. “What good are they anyway?”

“They are the only good I have ever known!” I wail. “What am I now?”

Seir tilts his head and touches my cheek. His whiteness matches mine. “You are a demon,” he whispers to me.

I sob, feeling the hot pain of my tears as they streak down my face.

“You’re still beautiful, Jehoel,” he whispers to me.

“It doesn’t matter!” I swing at him, trying to knock him away. “What am I to do? I’ve been cast out! I’ve been-” I throw my head into my hands and sob.

Seir stays beside me. He takes a deep breath and reaches out, touching my arm again. “I remember what it was like when I was cast out with the others. When we were made into demons, it was the most painful experience of my life. It felt like I had no purpose, no life. I never thought that our efforts would be met that way.”

I look up at him, blinking my eyes. “Really?” I asked. “You never once assumed that you would be cast out?”

“Mother promised us,” his voice cracks off, and he hangs his head.

“I see,” I whisper. I stand up and look down at my hands and arms. “How do you get used to this?” I ask.

“Time,” Seir stands with me, guiding me over to the tall mirror in his hallway.

I stare in shock, frightened by the paleness of me. Not much of me has changed. I know when the demons were cast out, some of them changed drastically. I am still tall and willowy. The sharp angles of my arms and shoulders are still there. My hips are full, and my legs are long.

From my forehead, where they once was a great jewel, there is now a new eye. It blinks when I blink, stares when I stare. It is bright red. My hair is changed into horns, a high crown of them in fact. The braids I had kept meticulously were now hardened into onyx.

My wings had turned into two arms. They’re long and strange, able to twist and turn in any direction I thought of. It unnerves me so I tuck them down against my back where I can’t see them anymore.

I touch my chest, shocked to see I have sprouted breasts. Before, as an angel, I had no sex. Now, to my horror, I realize I’ve been turned female by the Choir. Reaching further down, I touch my new vulva, and I wrench my hand away.

I turn away from the mirror and Seir takes me into his arms. He wraps me up and gives me a tight squeeze. “This is not the end,” he tells me. “It is far from that fate.”

“Then what do I do?” I gasp. “Who am I supposed to serve?”

Seir scoffs. “You are lucky. You do not serve anyone now.”

I furrow my brow in great confusion. “What do you mean? Don’t I serve Mother like you?” I ask.

Seir smirks. “You were not cast out with her. You were not in her army.” He touches my cheek. “You are free to serve anyone or no one you’d like.”

“What sort of life is that?” I whisper.

“It is your life,” Seir murmurs. “And you, are actually quite blessed.”

I snap around and glare at him. “How dare you? After all this, you say I’m blessed?” I snap at him.

“You’re a woman,” he replies coolly. “Amongst us demons that is quite a good thing to be. You’re more powerful than us. Like Vine, Lilith, and Mother, you have unfathomable potential.”

“I don’t feel any different,” I mumble as I glare down at my hands. “How can I be so powerful from just a change like this?”

Seir takes hold of my hands. “It may not seem apparent now, but eventually you will notice the changes to your body, your mind, and well...everything.”

I look up at him and ease into his embrace. “I’m afraid,” I whisper.

“I know,” he strokes my back and kisses my temple. “I will be frightened later when I know exactly what it is you’ve become.”

I shove him and chuckle. “You should always be afraid of me.”

    “True,” he smirks.

One day, as Seir and I are working in his office, a dark shape descends from the ceiling. I gape in shock and stand behind Seir. The shape lands on the ground and stands.

“Baal?” Seir’s brow knits together as he stares at the demon standing before us.

I gasp and touch Seir’s arm. “I thought Baal disappeared.”

“I did,” the demon cracks his neck. “Magic act,” he sneers as he steps towards Seir and I. “I just got back from the Court,” he says. “I’m putting my foot down.” He then glances at me, his sharp dark eyes narrow and he snarls.

“Who the fuck is this?” Baal points to me. “I don’t recognize this one.”

“She’s new,” Seir says, shielding me. “Very new.”

Baal tilts his head and smirks. “Seir, I’m quite proud of you.”

“Wasn’t me,” Seir scoffs. “The angels cast her out.”

Baal chuckles, rubbing his hands together. “Who were you?” He asks me. “If you don’t mind me asking?”

    “Jehoel,” I murmur.

“Oh!” Baal gasps. “I remember you. Little thing back then. Very angry. One of Gabriel’s.” He turns back to Seir. “That’s not why I’m here. I need you to come back with me.”

Seir rears back his head and laughs. “What makes you think I’ll do that? No one wants to be back in the Court.”

“Yeah, because I left,” Baal snarls. “Now I’m back, and I’m snatching up all the leashes of you runaway brats.”

“You call us runaways?” Seir snaps. “Look at yourself and tell me exactly what you are! I would no sooner follow you again than I would fight the Choir again!”

I furrow my brow and glance at Baal. “Why are you returning?” I ask. “Because Mother is waking?”

“Astarot is not a mess I feel like dealing with. Especially now that the Four Big Brats are all shoving their fingers into this pie we call earth.”

Seir’s eyes go wide, and even I go cold. “What do you mean?”

“You don’t know?” Baal smirks smugly. “Wow, what a surprise. You leave home for a few centuries, and you lose touch with all your extended family!” He laughs then glares heatedly down at Seir. “Because Astarot is stirring they decided they wanted to join the eventual party. Plague is here already working his deals.”

Baal then shakes his head and scoffs. “You want to stay on an earth falling to ruin? I sure as hell don’t.”

“What needs to be done?” I ask, and Seir gives me a dirty look.

Baal tilts his head, looking at me again. His eyes narrow as he studies me. “Barbas and I are trying to collect as many ne'er do wells as possible. I have Eligos and Pursan on my side. Barbas is apparently in-laws with Vine now, not sure what the fuck that is. We’re working on Paimon but he has some fucking cult or some shit, I don’t even want to know,” he scoffs.

“And you,” he whispers, motioning to me. “You’re like Vine,” he whispers. “A new female demon.”

Seir glares at Baal. “Don’t even think it!”

“Female are rare amongst demons,” Baal continues. “And new ones are exceptionally powerful.” He reaches out, pointing a finger aimed at my third eye.

I gasp, feeling a sudden pull at me. I strain against it, struggling to keep control of my senses and functions. I grab hold of the pull, grabbing it and forcing it towards me. My third eyes flashes open, casting a bright light over the room. Baal’s eyes are gazing at me as he suddenly is surrounded by white flames.

“Holy shit,” Seir gasps.

The emergency sprinkler turns on, dosing the entire office with water.

“Shit,” Baal swings out his arm and dismisses the fire while also suspending the water in midair.  The droplets of water hang around us like crystals, shimmering and sparkling before Baal blows them away.

Baal grins in triumph as he looks back at me. “She did that by blinking,” he laughs. “Could you imagine if Vine and Lilith got a hold of her and showed her what she could really accomplish?”

Seir grimaces and looks at me. “She doesn’t serve us,” he replies. “She doesn’t serve heaven or hell. She serves her own powers. You or the other bitches won’t have her.”

Baal crosses his arms and looks at me. “Then what do you want Jehoel?” He asks me. “You can be left alone,” he says. “If that is what you wish. Or you can join your new kin.”

I step out from behind Seir and face Baal. He’s much taller than I am and much more frightening than I gave the Old One's credit for. I couldn’t imagine what horror Mother was.

“I want to know myself,” I say, playing my palms to my chest. “I don’t know who this new Jehoel is. But I want to know her. If I come with you, will you be able to show me that?”

“Not me personally,” Baal replies. “The shit I have to face takes precedence. But I have the right set of people who can teach you the new gifts you possess.”

Seir reaches out, taking my hand and squeezing it. “Jehoel,” he whispers, “are you sure this is what you want?”

I look into Baal’s eyes deeply. “It is,” I whisper.

Baal nods then turn his head. “I’ll come back for you,” he says with a low growl. “Both of you,” he snarls towards Seir.

Baal disappears the way he came, and for a moment, the room is quiet and strange. Seir turns to me and shakes his head.

“This is not the day I expected to have,” he turns to his desk, taking a handful of candy from the jar there and shoving several pieces into his mouth.

“What were you expecting?” I ask, rubbing my arm.

He chuckles a soft smirk on his lips. “Well, nothing was planned. But I was hoping to sweep everything off my desk and enjoy that wonderful body of yours.”

I scowl at him. “Really?” I scoff. “Do you think this is the proper time to be making jokes?”

“I think anytime is the perfect time to make jokes.” He approaches me, pressing a peach candy to my lips. “You know how I love to be inappropriate.”

The candy slips between my lips and lands on my tongue with his finger. I gasp softly, and he kisses me. The taste of peach and Seir mingle in my mouth, and I grab hold of him. I pull him close, grabbing him and tangling my fingers in his hair.

In the same breath, I shove him back, so he nearly falls back on his desk. Seir grins at me and licks his lips, the peach candy that had been in my mouth was now in his.

“There she is,” he whispers.

I lick the corner of my mouth and charge upon him. I shove him back down onto the desk as I crawl on top of him, kissing him and biting him.

“Fuck, I love those teeth,” he snarls.

I sit up and look at him. “Do you now?” I grin, showing off my sharp teeth to him.

Seir pulls me back down, kissing me hungrily and snarling.

I sit on his chest and look down at him. I touch his cheek and then my finger down his nose before I inch the tip.

“You’re so easy,” I laugh as I stand up.

“Hey!” Seir huffs as he sits up. “Why’d you stop?”

“I’d much rather go out and get something to eat,” I tell him.

Seir scoffs. “You’ve grown too accustomed to being human.” He gets his keys out from his desk and follows me to the door.

“You’ve become too reliant on your appetites,” I smirk up at him.

Seir scoffs and shoves his hands into his pockets. “Just my appetites to you, my love,” he kisses my cheek as he opens the door. “Where do you want to go eat.”

I think for a moment. “Oh, I’d like to go to-”

“If you say Mr. Huang’s I’m going to claw my eyes out,” Seir whines. “You always want to go there. What’s so special about it?”

I look up at Seir, standing on my tip-toes to place a soft kiss on his lips. “It where you took me on our first date,” I tell him.

Seir grimaces then wrap me up in his arms. “Ok fine. Is that where you want to go?”

“It wasn’t before,” I smirk, “but it is now.”

Seir groans and follows me, locking his office door as we leave.

After eating, we start to head to Seir’s car. But as we step out onto the street, I notice something isn’t right. No one is moving. Everyone that is out on the street is frozen in place. The cars on the road are still. The birds that have taken off to fly are hovering in place. The dog with its leg lifted has stopped midstream, and the stream is suspended in air as well.

“What’s going on?” I whisper as I look around.

Seir grabs my hand and squeezes it tight. “I know this feeling,” he whispers. He then turns, and I follow his gaze. Down the streets from us, there is a figure rushing forward. It's on the ground on all fours, racing towards, jumping on people, knocking them over and then lunging at us.

They get into our face and grin with a wicked mouth. “Hello children,” they laugh.

“Lilith,” Seir gasps.

“I’ve come for the new lady,” Lilith giggles as she eases back. “I assume this is her.” She looks at me, her complexion is so pale I can see the dark veins and muscle under the skin. Her head is elongated, stretching back and forming spikes. Her mouth is wipe and lipless, revealing several rows of sharp teeth. Her body is lithe and angular, and from the looks of it, she can bend in any way she wants.

“It’s always nice to have a new sister,” she grins.

“Baal sent you already?” Seir asks.

“I heard the news,” Lilith murmurs as she folds her arms to her chest. “And I simply couldn’t sit back and wait. I wanted to meet her right away.” She looks at me. “Jehoel is it?” She asks.

I nod slowly. “Yes. It is.”

“Was,” Lilith murmurs. “Your new name will be Bileth,” she replies. “And I will treat you as my very own daughter.”

“Daughter?” Seir sneers.

Lilith smirks. “What else would she be?” She asks him with a serious look on her face. “She doesn’t serve Astarot, and she no longer serves the Choir.” Lilith looks back at me and touches my cheek. “From now on, I am going to be Mother.”
