Proof of Life #190: Lots of custom animations!
Added 2023-08-14 11:39:48 +0000 UTCHey ladies and gents on this fine earth, how is your morning/afternoon/evening going? You might be wondering why this PoL is a few hours earlier than usual, right? Well, later today I'll be going to another country to see my family. I'll be coming back tomorrow, but since I probably won't have any internet while over there, I'm writing this PoL while I can.
I still don't have a date for the new Update's release, but it probably will be a lot closer to the end of August than to the 20th. There's a huge number of custom sprites I need to have done yet, and quite a lot of work besides that. This will be one stressful end of the month, that's for sure.
I've hired a new artist to help with the workload until the release, because the new scene I'm currently making is an important one, and I want it to be as detailed as possible. I also have an extra scene to make, and the story, and the freeroams... Yeah, I don't know how I'm going to do it with the whole moving out thing, but I'll manage^^
By the way, while I will be taking a break from September 1st (if the update is out by then) to October 1st, the payments will only be paused from September 15th to October 15th. I recently learned that while payments are paused, nobody can pledge anymore, meaning that nobody will be able to grab the new Update, so by delaying the pause a little bit, I'll give people some time to pledge if they want to so they can get their hands on Update 8. I'll write this again on a pinned post later, but I just wanted to let you know already : )

I doubt anyone will have an issue with the length of the scene considering who's taking part in it. (The draining part was a masturbation joke.)

2023-08-18 03:07:38 +0000 UTCIt might indeed feel a bit long-ish with two perspectives, that's why I'll also make sure to have the scene from 3 different PoVs in the reminiscence room: one with only Rose, one with only Cyanna, and one with both.

2023-08-15 20:41:50 +0000 UTCOh, I definitely don't start from scratch every update. That would be way too time consuming. I can't claim to remember every detail, I already don't really recall what happened when Leto was captured by the aboriginal people of the island, but I typically remember the important stuff from update to update so long as storylines are continued with each update. However if Lily doesn't get content soon I'm probably not going to remember what happened to her last time she did. :P As for the peacekeepers not activating I think so far that's because the Duke has either been using the excuse that the amulet doesn't have enough energy in it or he simply hasn't use it yet and hasn't told Rose. I seem to recall him mentioning that he was going to bring the amulet to the peacekeepers after the threesome in the last update. It could be due to her virginity, but sex is also probably a much, much larger source of energy and when it finally does happen it'll make a big difference and that's how the Duke gets his hooks in. It's so effective that Rose justifies betraying Leto and getting off on the riding the Duke with how much energy is provided by it.

I really want to see Rose dancing in cute clothes in front of the duck. And as other friends have said, charging should indeed continue. We fans can see the results of your efforts. Thank you for bringing us such a good game.

2023-08-15 14:18:49 +0000 UTCam i the only one that forgets most of everything that happened while waiting for updates? like i remember the big plot points (king and queen being killed, etc) but the character interactions i forget about cause its been a while, do you guys usually start from scratch every update? also i think the reason why the peacekeepers dont activate for rose is cause shes a virgin, once (presumably) the duke takes it, i think the towers are gonna change, but i think the duke will wait until shes more corrupt and addicted so that even once the towers activate she will still be drawn to him and not just to gather energy but rather due to dependency i hope the duck has something nice planned for us

2023-08-15 11:39:45 +0000 UTCDamn, and here i was thinking that this could potentially be the last PoL before the Update, 2 whole months of development (and possibly more) on a single Update however...and with Cyanna in the focus mainly, not gonna lie the thought that we could get to Cyanna's first sex scene in this Update has crossed my mind before but back then i thought that it was still too early for it but now... especially when considering everything that was said in the PoL...i don't wanna get my hopes up but i'm afraid it's too late xd
