Proof of Life #186: Look at those boobs!
Added 2023-07-17 20:01:59 +0000 UTCI mean, look at them! *cough*... Heya ladies and gents, it's N_Taii, as you might have already guessed, and I'm here with yet another Monday PoL, as you might have *already* guessed. Yes, everyone here can see the future.
I did good progress last week, and I've got one more scene down that's slightly different from all the scenes in HC3 so far (if my memory doesn't fail me). Nothing completely new as it's really close to some scenes that were in previous games, but still it turned out quite nice. One thing I can say is "damn, doing a scene in a shower can be quite challenging, with the limited space and the fact that I have to work with so many layers, like the shower cabin, the curtain, the running water, the sprites...". Still, I did it!^^
Right now, I'm making maps for the next segment of the main story, which will see things getting quite heated in more ways than one. It's a relatively big map, so it might take a bit of time.
Btw, I added a new TT opponent. And I fixed a few bugs in the scenes from the reminiscence room. Oh, and I had to buy a new laptop, the built-in keyboard of the old one stopped working, and the tech dude said it was a hardware issue.
That's about it for this week. Nothing too crazy, I know, but that means things are progressing smoothly. Let's pray for many more boring PoLs!

2023-07-18 10:42:43 +0000 UTCYep, the boobs are a little too big to be considered realistical, but more than just pron logic, it's also because with so few pixels, even with just 2-3 pixel difference to differentiate between small, medium, and big breasts size, it ends up making quite the difference on their body. As for Leto, his personality will be shaped with choices made throughout the game, so if people have a majority of "NTR choices", Leto will appear weaker and more pathetic in the ending than with revenge or happy choices.

2023-07-17 22:14:29 +0000 UTCOh, I know, which is why I find these scenes amusing, they're just a logical fallacy that couldn't happen. They just come across as a little ridiculous. Similarly to how Cyanna's tits on her sprite are disproportionately large even if you account for the fact that she is absolutely stacked, it's just a part of what makes the art style work. You either have exaggerated proportions of you have slight differences which can sometimes come across as being less accurate to their actual designs. For a game like this you need to exaggerate things because it just won't work if you don't. You're actually kind of on a tight rope with Leto as unlike Noah and whatever the kid from the first game is called you've managed to actually make him competent. HC3 is a much better experience since Leto isn't constantly being undermined and stepped on, you've ensured that he is well liked, capable, and respected and I'm hoping you keep going in this direction. The NTR will be so much more effective and satisfying if you knock Leto down when he's either at his peak or on his way up, which will in turn make the ending better as well. HC1 and 2 both relied on deus ex machina to work, if you can make sure that Leto remains competent and capable even past the inevitable betrayal of his womenfolk you'll have more satisfying good, bad, and true endings.

By the way i really appreciate these earlier posts, getting an e-mail from Patreon at midnight just doesn't feel right. Also i cannot wait until you're in Japan, you once said that you've got a weird sleep schedule that's why the PoL's are this late, i bet i'm gonna be getting 5am PoL's starting from October.๐

In this case, Cyanna might be standing in a way that she can't be visible for anyone outside, but we can. It's the same for the sounds and moans. We can hear them clearly, but not the NPCs. Otherwise, there would be a lot of things that wouldn't make a shred of sense, even considering the usual suspension of disbelief that comes with playing an H game. If not for this system, I would find myself very limited when it comes to freeroam events and the likes, so I decided to bend the rules slightly to make the game more interesting.

2023-07-17 21:10:15 +0000 UTCHmmmm, given the lack of anything in her immediate vicinity it looks like one of two things is happening. Either Cyanna is going for a ride on the sausage express or she's simply standing near the window topless. I'd like for it to be former, but the latter seems likely given how much of Cyanna is showing unless Ulrod is much, much thicker than he appears to be. Maybe she's just getting changed after having to wear the skirt armour again for Ulrod? Scenes like this always amuse me as they're predicated on the notion that everyone nearby is either extremely unobservant or have absolutely no peripheral vision. It makes sense for the soldiers standing across from the window to not notice Cyanna since they're all wearing helmets that would obscure their peripheral vision and none of them are facing her. However the guy talking to Leto should definitely see her, like I'm sitting in front of my computer and I can see my kitchen table which is around 25 feet away from me directly to my left. Looking forward to how this scene occurs.
