Proof of Life #178: Slowly starting on the main quest
Added 2023-05-22 22:21:52 +0000 UTCHello friends, mates, and pals all around the world, how is this morning/afternoon/evening treating you? This one's going to be a short PoL since the last update barely came out .
So, I've been having a brainstorm session under the shower for a few minutes and already came up with around 3 scenes for Rose already, all with their very own flavor, so I'm working towards them.
Also, you can't see it in this scene because it's not done yet, but Rose will get a new "improved" dress. Don't expect anything too sexy, just a little change.
Btw, this update 7 will most probably be an "empty" one, meaning not much in terms of story, but more about corruption and scenes. I haven't planned everything yet, but I think that's where it's heading.
Okay, that's it! More next Monday : ) Also, 5$ release on the 24th!

Well n_taii as we discussed it several times already, u know I share the exact same opinion as kappame and all the others here in the comment section. Its not about cutting the story completely, or not even a lot of it. Obviously the story is the most important part of a good corruption story where character development is a key factor. Just a little less filler story telling over all… its mostly about beeing more concise, more on point and I would be totally happy. Sometimes its just a little too much to read. Sometimes its a little too many extra NPCs that have long monologues. Sometimes its a little too many background stories. Just a tiny little bit. But it adds up. Thats all. :)

2023-05-24 10:50:26 +0000 UTCI agree, there needs to be story, especially for NTR. I think it's possible to have more concise stories with variety and not too much in between H scenes. It's probably why most people comment saying they enjoy the scenes with less dialogue to skip through and more scenes. I hope I'm not being annoying I actually love your work. Keep it up. How active you are with the updates and engagement (and the game) are 5 star!

I think having a story that's at least half-interesting helps give substance to the world and the characters, which makes the corruption feel more realistic and impactful. There are also other reasons, such as some people preferring to have a bit of story and world-building, the fact that if the story is directly tied to the corruption and both need to progress in parallel, and that I simply like to have something in-between scenes because doing only the same thing over and over again feels exhausting^^

I mean this as no disrespect, but if I want to read a super developed story, I'll just go read some Scott Lynch. I don't know many people who play H-games with any intent other than fapping.

I think it's still too early for a choker right now though. Also, since Cyanna doesn't have a cleavage yet, she might very well get one at some point ; )

2023-05-23 03:08:48 +0000 UTCThe portraits aren't really large enough to reflect the changes in their wardrobe unless those changes happen to their heads. The portraits cut off just below the collarbone and outside of possibly showing the beginning of a change in the neckline there's not really anything to be done.

All 3 scenes are going to be in the next update. There was one scene I had in mind from the beginning, and as I was planning how the story would go until we get there, I found 2 more to add before that. There might be some for Cyanna as well, we'll see.

For Rose's outfit change I'm picturing something relatively simple. Perhaps a choker and maybe a slit in the dress to show some leg. The one I'm most looking forward to is Cyanna's outfit change. She wears a uniform, it'll be interesting to see how her change in costume is implemented. Since she's the "bigger than her head" character I'm hoping for cleavage. :P

Will we be seeing all 3 of those scenes in the next Update or is it more like a "i know what Rose's next 3 scenes are gonna be but i'm gonna spread it out into multiple Updates" kinda thing ? I'm only asking because even though she's THE main girl, you stated so many times that you don't plan on making an Update where the focus is purely on 1 girl that i found it weird that you haven't even started and you've alredy got 3 scenes for 1 girl in your head ready to be made, but then again...the previous Update had 5 scenes and you even had to create 2 whole quests for those scenes to fit somewhere, i guess if you're gonna focus purely on the corruption then...sky's the limit.

I would ask what types of scenes we are going to see in update 7 but I don't want to ruin the surprise hahaha. What is clear to me is that they are still not going to have sex with their antagonists.
