Proof of Life #65: Emphasis on H content

About HC2's development
It's going well. So far, no major drawbacks. As I mentioned in last time's PoL, there will be more emphasis put on H content, especially for the two main girls. I have almost finished the main quest, and so far there is around 5 scenes just for that quest alone. I say "around" because some scenes are fragmented into several sequences, so as always it's hard to give you an exact number.
However, due to me putting more sex scenes in there, the playtime of Update 7 should be significantly shorter, since those scenes take a lot longer to develop. To give you an idea, 15 minutes of pure dialogue can take 1 hour of development, sometimes 2 if I have to look up a lot of vocabulary. On the other hand, 15 minutes of sex scenes can take up to 10+ hours of development, depending on the complexity of the scenes and how much editing I have to do. Taking into account the fact that ambiance sounds will sometimes require some editing as well, sex content is a lot more time-consuming to develop than anything else in the game.
There will definitely be one side quest and one main quest, but I'm going to try my best to have 2 side quests, same as Update 6.
Three things I wanted to mention apart from the one above:
1)I have commissioned some portraits edits. Nothing too crazy, but I wanted the girls to have different portraits when it came to arousal, even if those portraits end up having only some slight differences. After all, whether the girls are smiling or not when they are aroused can make quite a huge difference in terms of how corruption is portrayed.
2)I have reworked the introduction of Aywin's new, sexier outfit. In Update 6, it kind of pops up out of nowhere at the end of main quest 29. Now, it will appear along with Celis' sexy clothes as part of Update 7's main quest.
3)Extra-scene will be between Celis and Edwyr. I know some of you would rather I avoid using the main chars for the extra-scene, but I will make sure to avoid putting anything important corruption-wise in those scenes (no losing virginity, no first an*l, etc...). Besides, Celis will get plenty of content herself outside of this extra-scene. I hope you won't mind too much : )

I'll give priority to the main content, but I'm pretty sure I'll manage to make 2-3 more freeroam events for this update. I'll have to see whatever time I have left before the release. About the extra-scene, the aim isn't really to tell a story, but more like to include some different fetishes and some extra sexual content which would be non-impactful when it comes to storytelling. Of course, I won't make a habit out of using main chars for extra-scene. Simply, in this particular update, Celis content is what fitted best. About Salkia and the others, they are of course a possibility, but since their story arc is over for now, scenes with them are harder to include while still making sense story-wise. I like extra-scenes to fit the flow of the story so they don't feel too out of place : )

2021-02-23 03:09:33 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, the scene I've chosen as extra is the one that fits best into this new update because it ticks the right boxes. I always have a few scenes idea in my head before starting the update, and it has to fit three conditions: 1)be long enough, 2)involve characters that already have contents in said update and 3)do not contain any important story elements (I've learned my lesson after Solana's extra scene). Since Celis is already present in 3 other scenes before that, I thought adding an extra-scene with her wouldn't mind as much, I hope you don't think I'm using main chars in extra-scene solely to encourage players to pledge to higher tiers. For now, I'm going with Celis and Edwyr but who knows, I might find other potential candidates for Update 7's extra-scene : )
