2024-12-06 15:14:36 +0000 UTCI don't hate this movie but I fully agree that it is not a good movie. I think the story of Apocalypse is was too vast to capture in a couple of hours. I think it should have been at least a trilogy. They didn't build the world through characters instead it was like hey look at this, now look at this and remember this, and the world is saved. The sad part is that I really liked the new cast and was excited to see the X-men world expanded into more of an ensemble.

2024-09-17 03:30:25 +0000 UTCThey were referencing the Last stand, the worst until Apocalypse came out and then Dark Phoenix became the worst of all when it came out. the movie does not work as it tries to pack in the entire Apocalypse storyline in one movie as well as introduce like 5 more characters while having existing characters in it as well. Jennifer Lawrence got tired of the make up which is why she is in human form for most of it. Also she had limited screen time and availability as she had bigger things to do and did not want to do this one really. Very little in character development in this movie and when this came out the crap formula of not doing interconnected movies like AVengers MCU was doing really killed this franchise off.

2024-09-16 19:11:31 +0000 UTCI’m gonna be bluntly honest. I thought this was the worst of the X Men movies, and worse than Dark Phoenix which came out 3 years later. One, the storyline is bland. Two, Oscar Isaac is seriously wasted as Apocalypse and the fact that we don’t see Olivia Munn as Psylocke after this film (especially not in Deadpool and Wolverine) is a massive crime. Thirdly, the CGI took a massive nosedive in this movie. And fourthly, the directing actually felt bland and more of a repeat of previous movies. And also, there was Bryan Singer’s problems onset. Keep in mind that this was his second to last film before Bohemian Rhapsody (which he got fired from).
