Proof of Life #18: about HC-Chap.1's endings

I'm sorry for the kinda late monday post, been pretty busy today.
Since this post will mainly be about the endings I have planned for the game, I've decided to make it public. In next week's post I will give you more details about my future plans for after the game, so it'll be public too.
So, as I've said in another PoF post, this update (number 4) will be the last one before I start working on the endings.
A lot of people asked me about how the game would end, so I'll give you as much details while still trying to be spoiler-free.
There will be 3 types of ending: one Non-NTR, where MC can turn things around, another one NTR-oriented, with the demons prevailing, and a canon one, which will be somewhat neutral, but you'll see what I mean in the future^^.
For the endings, 2 of them will be sandbox-ish, where you can still roam around the manor and see some scenes for all 4 girls, all depending on what kind of ending you chose.
You'll have 3 options and a choice to make somewhere in the game, and I'll make it very clear what ending goes with what option, so no worries there.
I have no idea how long this whole thing will take (definitely less than a month, but how much of said month the development will take up, it's still a mystery). If I'm not able to give you a reminiscence room along the endings, it'll definitely come out a bit afterwards.

I don't exactly know which Update you played last, but remember that there's at least 2-3 updates left and a good 2-3 hours of content I'd say : ) Besides, my game plays a tad different from NTRPG. In NTRPG, the NTR really starts with the girl losing her virginity. In HC-Chap.1, it starts a lot earlier, with the losing virginity being at a later stage, which can make the whole corruption process seem a lot shorter if you're only looking at the scenes where actual sex happens. Another thing is, if you look at NTRPG2 for example, there's only the main girl whose corruption is detailed and follows a progressive narrative. The side characters quickly jump from pure to corrupted, and the sister's corruption all happens off camera (not criticizing, I love the game). For HC-1, all four characters have their own personal scenes, so it's a bit more complicated to have a well-designed narrative without it feeling repetitive. However, I did try to include some progression for each character : ) Hope you'll still like it^^

2020-03-27 10:28:38 +0000 UTCWait, you're talking endings already? It seems like the game was just getting its pace and stride going. NTRPG 1 & 2 have these sort of progressive narratives where you got to see the girl(s) all fall lower and lower into depravity, I was hoping that would be the case here too. Not a slight towards the game or you, just surprised because I actually do like the game. I just figured it was gonna be a while before there was official talk of endings.

2020-03-26 01:15:32 +0000 UTCFirst time I've heard of crashing and fps issue with MV. Hope you won't have that with any of my future games, if you still wish to play them. But yeah, MV has overall more custom assets developed by the community, more plug-ins which allow for greater personalization of gameplay/maps/etc... I feel that, in the long run, it'll be better to go for the most recent RPGM engine or I'm bound to run into limitations if I keep going with Vx Ace, unfortunately.

So for the answers: 1)yes, definitely, although you'll have to play the ending to better understand. 2) Not really involved per se, so I made sure she had a whole day dedicated to her story in this update, to bring what I hope will be a satisfying closure to her story. She'll have scenes in post-game tho, although not huge scenes. 3)Nope. Let the man catch a break, getting NTR'ed twice? If I do that, I'm sure his sprite will be waiting in hell to beat me up after I die^^ 4)Next game will be made with RPGM MV, so essentially the same, but the sprites are a bit more detailed. Gameplay will essentially remain the same, although there might be a few changes here and there. I'll give more details next week : ) 5)It depends on how long it'll take to develop the endings. If they take the whole month, then I'll have a few things to change/add in May too (like reminiscence room, etc...). But the main story should be over, yes. Hope it answered your questions!
