Yeah it makes sense the she'd be just completely heartbroken and scared for Kallen after that. Especially as you said, being such a good mother that she decided to take that life to stay close to them T.t

I am pretty sure she support the resistance but after her son died during the resistance she probably was heartbroken for the rest of her life. she simply scared to lost the only daughter she had left. And she tries to do everything to be alongside Kallen. She is one of the best mothers in anime
