He stamps his foot and I jump back. “Barbas, I don’t want you here. I don’t care what you have to say. If I wanted to be where you are I’d be there.”
“But, Sire!” I try to argue.
Eligos bends over and roars loudly in my face. That’s when I hear it, the cries of a baby. “Fuck,” Eligos attends to the bundle in his arms. “You’ve woken him. His mother won’t be please.”
“Sire,” I gasp in horror. “Have you bred with a human? Is that your spawn?”
He then grabs me with one of my hands by the collar of my shirt. “If I ever see you again, Barbas, it will be the last.” He throws me and I crash into a wall.
“Oh no!” I hear water running and then I feel a wet palm on my cheek. “Are you ok?”
I look up, seeing Adair standing over me, butt naked.
“You came back,” she murmurs.
“What? Adair? Where am I?” I gasp.
She wraps a towel around herself but it only seems to make it worse. She turns her shower off and looks at me. “You’re in my bathroom.”
I groan and hang my head. “Dammit! Dammit! I claw at my forehead. “I was so close! If I can’t even make him listen to me I’ll-” I claw at my head, feeling my nails dig into my skin. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I want to claw my own flesh away and rip at my bones.
