Keith has never been shown to come into contact with the fruit, yet he's able to resist orders and stand up against rules. It was because of his western mother, not some bodypaint. This tidbit directly contradicts the comic. My theory is that Order intentionally created the divide and cultural differences between eastern and western basitins, so they would have someone to wage war with while being isolated, honing and maintaining their martial prowess in the process. With how the easterners resemble humans and the easterners keidran, they're effectively training to fight against the mainland races, even if they don't realise it.
