Late to the party here, catching up, loving the reactions ^_^ I've always believed that Star Platinum could stop time, however unconsciously, from episode one. Jotaro had more and more contraband in his prison cell that appeared to come out of nowhere, and we also see points in the D'arby fight where Jotaro abruptly has things like a cigarette and a drink that he didn't have before, which D'arby notices came out of nowhere, but no answer or explanation is ever given. Might be totally off but I always felt like these and instances like it were hints throughout the series of Star Platinum having inklings of that power.

2024-06-20 04:03:40 +0000 UTCDio and Jotaro have the same stand but Dio being the coward that he is (and fully knowing that stands are through Enya), naturally learned Time Stop first. Jotaro being a quick learner, gains skill and practice after every time stop that Dio does. We see this happen against D'arby the younger also where he actually learns the mechanics of a videogame on the fly. Anyways, i just wanted to say Thank you for watching my favorite series. JoJo has gotten me through some extremely difficult times and as sad as this parts ending is, it slowly became a source of inspiration and appreciation for me so i really enjoy these reactions. The series just gets better every part so i cant wait to see more. Hopefully when you catch up, part 7 and 8 get anime gets announced! 🥰

2024-05-02 22:55:23 +0000 UTCMy headcanon is that Jonathan's body, after awakening the Joestars' stands, bestowed upon his descendant the only power that could beat DIO - the same one he had My source is that I made it the fuck up, it's not stated anywhere in the manga I don't think

2024-05-02 22:29:34 +0000 UTCAlso, WHO THE HELL let Joseph onto a plane at the end there? Do these people have a death wish?

2024-05-02 22:23:40 +0000 UTCDespite part 3 being my fav, I'm SO excited for part 4 to begin!

2024-05-02 22:19:11 +0000 UTCSpeaking of what Jotaro said, "Draw. Let's see who's the fastest gun in the West" Part 3 is HEAVILY inspired by westerns, you can see that in all the standoffs where the characters wait for some external sign before they attack. Araki himself stated that Jotaro was modeled after Clint Eastwood, so there's that

2024-05-02 22:13:55 +0000 UTCI also found the pacing at the end of part 3 to be a bit weird. But ooooh boy, part 4 is so good! The art style changes a lot from this part on, as it did in the manga! And the story and characters are amazing! I hope you'll like it!

2024-05-02 18:24:39 +0000 UTCAnd so, we reach the end of probably one of the most influential stories ever told in manga. Look forward to seeing Jojo allusions/inspirations everywhere for the rest of your life. Not to say that you shouldn't go on, the remaining parts are amazing and P4 is probably my favourite, but it can't be overstated how big of an impact Stardust Crusaders had on Japanese popculture

2024-05-02 18:02:01 +0000 UTCIggy's death imo was def the most sad in Part 3. Really do wish Polnareff did more against Dio but he just wasnt strong enough but Polnareff did get a good moment against Vanilla Ice so I cant complain too much lol

2024-05-02 17:38:28 +0000 UTCI mean it kinda makes sense that jotaro gains the ability to stop time because this whole time star platinum didn’t technically have an ability until this point just physical strength and precision which close ranged power stands kinda all have.

2024-05-02 17:30:28 +0000 UTCI think the reason that the transfusion didn’t turn Joseph didn’t turn into a vampire because most of the blood was originally his that dio drank. Any dio cells in it would have been destroyed as soon as Joseph started using hamon like what happened in the steely Dan fight.

2024-05-02 17:27:24 +0000 UTCWhat a journey it's been huh? To answer your question at the beginning, the series is animated up to Part 6, and the manga goes up to Part 9, with Part 9 being actively written. And, at least in my opinion, all of the parts are good for their own reasons. They're all VERY different from Part 3, but they're all very good with a hugely varied cast of characters and entirely different stories to tell. In my opinion, it's like a new show every part.

2024-05-02 17:20:27 +0000 UTCI love part 3 but nothing tops part 4 in my opinion. Also I always assumed Joseph's hamon kept Dio's vampiric essence from taking over.
