2022-02-01 17:15:28 +0000 UTCI remember an interview with Pete Townshend where he pointed out that unlike most rock bands (at the time at least) The Who relied on John Entwistle on bass to do all the coordination and time keeping instead of Keith Moon doing it from his from his drum set. Reason being was that it gave him a lot more room to flourish and improvise within and around a piece of music instead of having to carry the rest of the band through it. Which I can totally see being a similar case here, with Trace on the chello and Flora banging on the drums all day.
