Rabbit had been told that his only chance of survival would be to use his derpy-but-adorable skill. Since "derpy" comes naturally for him, all he had to do was work on his "adorable" skills. All their time together in the wilds has convinced them of his increased "adorable" skills, which will ultimately benefit the entire tribe, too.

Hopefully the other Basitins at the enclave are a little more accepting of their relationship than those stuffed ears down in the Isles would be. Great work as always, Tom! These two are becoming some of my favorite sketchverse characters. We gotta get them together with Brin and Hunky Snep so we can finally start the Northkinds spin-off. Congrats, Blue!

I probably taste terrible and stringy and I'm mostly fluff anyway!" Huntress: "Mostly... what? ...Wait, did you REALLY think I was gonna eat you?" Rabbit: "Well... Earlier y-you said-" Huntress: "I was joking! Did you honestly believe I'd let you travel with me and share my supplies for two-and-a-half weeks, just so I could EAT you now?" Rabbit: "...I'll admit, I was kinda thrown off by that one night when I revealed to you that my pack called me a useless klutz and abandoned me to die in the wild, and you told me that I wasn't useless or a klutz then petted my head and cuddled me while I cried myself to sleep." Huntress: "So, what? You thought all of that was a lie?" Rabbit: "No! But I figured maybe it was like a... a trick?" Huntress, sighing and shaking head: "Oh, silly Rabbit. Hasn't anyone told you?" *Grabs his face, ruffles his fluff and kisses his nose softly.* Huntress: "Tricks are for kids." Rabbit: *Tail wags of cautious happiness.* Huntress: "...Now get in bed."
