Your description of him having a nerdy little durg heart made me read that as "nerdy little drug heart" and I did a double take over that. For reference, my D&D buddies always write that U as an E so it would look like "nerdy little derg heart" and still get the point across. The word "dreg" just isn't that common these days, and is often pluralized when encountered, so that mental shortcut doesn't come up.

That said, if our DJ friend can restrain himself to just illusionary fire, that should be just fine. Heck, if all he's doing is prestidigitation, why stop at just fire breath? Fireworks, smoke figures, blazing phoenixes, the sky's the limit as long as none of it's real. Sorry again, folks. Such is the cross we history majors must bear.

2021-07-11 17:51:19 +0000 UTCHeadcanon: DJ Dragon is a young drake (Reni's age, or slightly younger) who recently left home to spend his first years on his own in the big city. Living apart from the world has made him somewhat obsessed with both technology, and the lives and habits of the many mortal species that inhabit the city. His fascination with the intricacies of modern human, keidran, and basitin life have led some of his fellow dragons to tease that he has a "mortal fetish". He still insists his interests are completely innocent, though he does admit some of them can be... cute. Growing up sheltered from the rest of modern society, he's actually quite shy until you get to know him, and is known in his social circles as something of a nerd. Although, as dragons are still quite rare in large settlements even in modern times, he's quickly become something of a minor celebrity in the city. Especially since he took up mixing his own music and started doing MC gigs at trendy local clubs. Being a DJ lets him scratch his technology itch while getting to socialize with all the mortals his nerdy little durg heart can handle. He still doesn't think of himself as much of a "party" kind of drake, but he does enjoy the attention being a trendsetting socialite brings. And his new fame totally hasn't gone to his head! Well... maybe just a little. But nobody got hurt in that first nightclub fire. Plus, the insurance paid for everything and he got a nice bump in social media cred! Actual canon, per Tom on stream: He used his transformative powers to give himself external ears because people kept bugging him about why he used headphones. Also, he thinks they're cute. (That last bit might be more headcanon...) Great work, Tom! I love this cute dragum boy already! Congrats, CookieDragon!
