Within 3 weeks, Maren Taverndatter would unite both the Keidran tribes and disenfranchised humans throughout lands and stage a bloodless coup against the Templar, seating herself as the new Grand Templar and ruling all Mekkan as Queen Nibren the Nutty and Benevolent. Her Grand Consort and chief diplomat Sythe was unsure at first whether to be awed or terrified by this strange turn of events. Eventually, however, he and all the peoples of Mekkan learned to stop caring and love the nut.
