Vote on Sketch Suggestions!

Looks like I'm gonna have to check patreon every stinking day. My notifications are broken. Hopefully my votes came in soon enough to count.

From what I can tell, the omnipoll tends to favour the more prominent characters (going by when it was in use from around June to October) whereas tkpolls is more diverse. Laura in particular was hard hit, not being sketched once (compared to tkpolls in which she averages around 1 poll win per month). Other characters like Zen also suffered. Certain kinds of suggestions also stand a better chance when being voted on during stream time, the Flora ban hammer sketch for example; hard to see how it would win in the omnipoll. The omnipoll also has a bearing on Tom picks. On tkpolls, Tom selects a suggestion from three randomly generated blocks (with the fourth block not being considered for a Tom pick that week). This gives a fairer chance to all suggestions, both through the randomness factor and reducing the pool of sketches that can be picked from. I've also noticed less "bandwagoning" on tkpolls (there's still some, but it tends to burn itself out more quickly). Regarding voting style, the omnipoll uses a FPTP (First Past the Post) based system, a system widely regarded as being suppressive to minority voices, and tends to result in two party systems (sorry for getting political). tkpolls on the other hand uses the PR (Proportional Representation) vote, which helps ensure minority opinions/suggestions are adequately represented. Saying all that, I can still understand the appeal of the omnipoll. The longer voting window in particular (which you mentioned), and that it tends to attract more votes overall. It'd be nice if both systems could be used somehow, or the omnipoll changed to take the good bits from tkpolls.

I like the idea of the Omni-Poll. You can consistently see if your request has a shot or is a dud that you should change for next week, people have a longer time to vote, and don’t need to be there for the stream. Also, I hope that I got mine through in time.

I wonder if Tom would be willing to do a very dialogue heavy sketch. He could even put some/most of the dialogue in the description of the sketch so that it's even faster to draw

I just wanted to ask: Whoever suggested the "Brutus fiercely defends Clovis from an attacker" suggestion a month or so ago, did you give up on that one or did you switch to a different one for the holidays? Does Tom keep a list of the suggestions from previous months, because maybe they arent a Patron anymore at all? I want to know because if you are no longer a patron or have given up on the suggestion, I will probably start suggesting it soon
