While it happens occasionally, it happens insanely rarely with the Clovis ones. And Clovis was a male from the beginning with no femininity whatsoever who got genderbent. He out of all characters I would say counts 100% as an individual who is a male inside a female body. I understand where people are coming from when it comes to any point regarding Natani, but, there have been 3 different points for Natani that all originate in canon, from Tom. Trans-Man came from Natani’s backstory in comic, the character bio, as well as the recent moment in comic with Natani threatening Eric (to name just a few). I actually quite like our self-identified Tomboy, <b>Palea</b>’s point of view, which, like mine, is more in the middle. That point of view being that Natani is a Tomboy, or rather, was originally, especially considering Youngtani’s conversation with the former. Lastly, but not least, The gender-confused female, which can be derived from the description of the comic, that from what I could find had been up for years, the conversation with Youngtani, as well as Tom describing Natani as “she/her” in a few instances on DeviantArt as well as elsewhere. I guess I’m trying to say I’m frustrated that, like you said, and I’ve destroyed multiple keyboards and screen protectors typing (figuratively), fighting about pronouns is pointless. It just leads people to hate each other, and all over a point that may or may not change in canon. We just don’t know, and to watch people attack each other like they do just hurts on the inside. I will respect people for their choice of pronoun, regardless of my personal feelings or stake in the matter, and will never correct people. You use he/him, I avoid them here, but use she/her in most cases in private, however, I respect your choice even though it differs from mine. Tom’s philosophical message within the comic, TOLERANCE (the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.) for crying out loud, is a simple thing that so many people on here across the political spectrum don’t seem to have a grasp on and it really does kill me to see this happen. Sorry about that. My grandfather is in the hospital dying and I guess I went on a rant trying to agree with you, and vent my frustrations with the matter, as well as distract myself from the aforementioned predicament.

It's just Natani, and i respect him who he is, and what he'd chosen to be. I mean here "I still see myself as one of the guys" and "i feel less self-conscious". We just have to wait for the plot in the comic about it. (In my opinion it already has been showen), and fightimg about pronouns is pointless.

2019-10-23 05:09:14 +0000 UTCOn the other hand... there's lots of internal evidence that Natani is drifting toward being gender-fluid, while continuing to maintain the male outward persona in order to avoid awkward conversations. It's hard to say at this point whether "he", "she", "they" (may be particularly apt in this case), "xie", or some other pronoun will be the eventual preference. Or a combination of them. By all means respect Natani's preferences; "Absolute is the right of any man to spell his name 'Jones' and have it pronounced 'Smith'." But given that we have an internal view of the character's evolving viewpoint, I don't think folks are being uncaring when they pick the female pronoun; I think it just reflects Natani's own self-questioning.

2019-10-22 02:22:23 +0000 UTCIs it just me, or does Youngtani's appearance as female (not just in the non-canon sketches, but in the comic itself) confirm that despite being a tomboy + liking to be seen as male because it freed her of discrimination, the original state of Natani's gender-identity at the level of her soul was female? I sure think so. Natani's identification as male seems to be purely because of that part being replaced by Zen's male gender identity. So what we will see, if I'm right, is Natani's original female identity beginning to reassert itself. This arguably began when Keith discovered her secret, and is being further expressed by the reemergence of her pre-fracture self and her newfound independence from Zen. This will lead to character development for Nat, as we see her take to heart Adelaide's message about strength (which Natani probably values over any other physical and emotional trait) and femininity not being mutually exclusive. "Oh I'm sorry I'll take it back-" "NO I'll keep it anyway." So I expect we'll see it again when Keith and Natani decide to take the plunge, which given their most recent interactions may be sooner than expected.

(Importance: What you feel like is > Biological facts) On the fence in the middle, Natani’s Gay because of the male mentality, and straight due to physiology.
