I like how “daddy” is conveniently covered by the Christmas tree. I wonder if we’ll ever meet him, if we have already met him and Tom haven’t told us (like, maybe he is the inn keeper who yelled at everyone) , or he’s dead, or something.

Like Adelaide, being the king, choosing the strongest fighter to give her kid the best genes possible without necessarily having any relationship with the father. Keith's parents didn't live together and it seemed their relationship was unusually close since the mother was a westerner.
