If she were to keep her mind, she would have jumped from the cliff. Raisa would be his slave, and he would do whatever he wanted to do with her.
Nearly all villagers were outside to see how they would punish a prisoner who killed one of their warriors. They were not careful with innocent-looking Raisa, and she surprised a man who didn't know who she was. Jorma knew that punishment should be hard enough, but he didn't want to spoil Raisa's beauty too much.
Tuija was more than willing to slash her with a whip. She wanted to whip her at once after the fortress was taken and Raisa was captured. Tuija was living with Jorma, and they shared a bed. They never confirmed their relationship, and a beautiful slave girl made Tuija uncomfortable. Raisa would also be serving her, and she could enjoy taming her. Only the fact that Jorma had always desired Raisa was not pleasing Tuija.
