Outclassed 2 - Page 5 (WIP & PSD)

Plenty of production notes for this page so here we go

I have drawn Suarez's polo shirt before for a one-off pic (fifth in this hiatus catchup post https://www.patreon.com/posts/hiatus-catch-up-119297679 ), since Horacio is going to be a main character here and he has a purple color scheme over all (skin tone, clothing, etc). I made Suarez's shirt red but kept the black and white trims.

Since we're in the topic of clothing, I made Suarez' apartment have gold/yellow tones to show warmth in comparison to the cold, rainy exterior, which might make Alfonso not stand out much, hence the blue aloha shirt.

Some of you might recognize the emblem in Walter's shirt as the Izzet Guild's from Magic the Gathering. I have a... let's say cursory knowledge of the property mostly from being surrounded by MtG nerds (and married to one), but I know the general gist of it and I figured, fuck it, Walter's an electrical engineering student, he's most likely into this sort of stuff, and what's more fitting than the engineering faction?

Another thing that might getpeople's attention is the sign in the first panel (I'm attaching a better res version of the ad on this post). So, a while ago I did a little thing on Bluesky where I found this outfit ( https://bsky.app/profile/nanoff.bsky.social/post/3lbzcbejn3c22 ) and offered to draw people's characters wearing it.

You can see on the WIP here that for the establishing shot I had space for a billboard on one of the buildings that just says "AD". I figured I would come up with something funny to put there later, but as I was working on the page, I couldn't really come up with anything. So I went with what lazy porn comic writers do when they can't be funny: let's put something sexy there. I don't know, maybe a lewd prostate cancer awareness ad.
So I could put some generic furry in a doctor outfit there, but then I remembered one of the responses I got for the Bluesky drawings was from Doctor Otter, whom I was already acquainted with. So I reached out and asked him "hey, sorry I didn't pick you for the outfit thingy, would you be interested in having a cameo here?" He was down for it and here we are. Unfortunately I don't know if this is something that will look good in smaller resolutions, it's one chunk of the image that has a disproportionate amount of detail to it that's meant to just be a funny background element, but it was still fun to make.
