BMZ - Hot dad alert, Interests 5 (WIP & PSD)
Added 2021-10-09 15:11:56 +0000 UTCI didn't post the WIPs and PSD last week, so might as well do it all at once.
For Interests 5, I of course started with the idea of Miles with a mischievous look reaching for the Lord of the Rings blurays as an extra panel and then kept going from there. I decided to make this strip "canon" (jesus christ this comic has a canon) because A) I like Boomer getting emotional with this subject matter and B) it's a decent reminder that Miles is a fucking dork that thinks a Tony Montana funko pop looks cool on his shelf (as you can see in the poster in some of the Boomer's Big Date backgrounds Al Pacino is some sort of canine in this universe) and pulls out LotR on a date night.
As for the hot dad alert pic, a friend pointed out when I shared the wip that "Boomer is never going to wear anything that actually fits him, is he?" The in-story reason is that he doesn't want to admit he's out of shape and insists this size still fits him, but we all know the real reason is that he looks cuter with his belly poking out of his shirt.
