I personally dislike the casting of the straw hat members. They look like they are in their mid 30's and they are using an unhealthy amount of... dunno the name of it... sun browning creme? But the CGI, villains and environment looks great. So it might still be worth watching.

that scene with zoro tied up lowkey gave me chills. looks promising! seems like it’ll be a faithful adaptation, dialogue could use some work though.

CGI and design of the show looks pretty good, but the acting and dialogue...not so much.

That guy zoro was fighting is likely the previous Mr 7. He killed him before the story so we never actually say him in the anime/manga, just a rough sketch by oda.

Additionally, one of the consultants has made a couple tweets comparing outfits from the trailer to some of the color spreads from the manga and I think that's so smart and so sweet. I'm incredibly soft about these goofy pirates 🥺🥺

This trailer makes the series look like it's going to be SO fun. I'm sure there will be things here and there that people won't be happy with but the one thing I'm confident in is that SO much love has been poured into the production. I love this cast, I love that they aren't shying away from some of the more silly aspects.

Just a tiiiiiny nitpick, but I kinda wish they had gone for a slightly more natural look for Nami’s hair… it looks a bit too much like cosplay hair.

I liked that his arm LOOKED like rubber when he did gum gum pistol. Yeah the CGI was never going to be perfect but that visual effect I think is the smartest way they could have done it.
