Agreed, and I personally think Denjiro had it the hardest, emotionally, because he had to constantly be around and put up with Orochi, likely listening to Orochi talk shit about Oden, and then pretend to agree just to maintain his cover and protect Hiyori.

With every new episode, the stakes are set up higher and higher. The sheer pressure Oda is setting up for this raid to work out is immense.

This is why Denjiro, Asura and kawamatsu were my favorite retainers. They suffered the most these past 20 years Which is why when The other retainers came up to Asura like “come join us were finally here” when this man was broke and mad for the past Shit he had to endure the past 20 years Yeah all the retainers suffered but the ones that stayed behind had it rough as hell and the other retainers never addressed that which pissed me off
