Short recap:
At the end of the void century 800 years ago, 20 kings came together from around the world to form the world government. That's how they somehow won the war. Afterwards 19 of those kings left their home countries with their families and moved to the top of the red line to live as gods. Their descendants are the celestial dragons. The one king that stayed in their home kingdom was the king of Alabasta, Vivi's ancestor.
For the other 19 countries they had to create new royal families to rule. In dressrosa donflamingo's family left to live on the red line and the riku royal family took over. The riku family ruled for 800 years until 10 years ago when donflamingo reappeared and became king of his ancestral kingdom.

The gaon cannon you saw when the ship entered the plaza on Fishman Island.
The pacing now is fine but when the fights start it gets worse. Still not the worst pacing in one piece. Some upcoming arcs are much worse

The pacing issues don't show up as much until the second half of the arc. That's when it gets really bad. I am sure you will be fine, it is noticeably repetitive and slow at a few times later though.

The issue with pacing in the arc mostly came from it being really stretched out. The arc in manga consist of 102 chapters while in the anime it goes on for 118 episodes meaning that one episode covers less than 1 chapter. Usually in anime adaptations one episode covers 2-3 chapters. I personally caught up in one piece back when Dressrosa was in the halfway point meaning I had to watch over 50 episodes week to week or wait over a year for the episodes to come out and back then it felt unbearable. Even for manga readers the arc is one of the longest in the series and it was very controversial when it was coming out and for the anime to be even longer felt really bad. The pacing issues are very easy toi notice when the arc takes around two and a half years to end and if you were following episodes week to week, but looking back at it now the arc is pretty good especially when you can binge watch it. I have been enjoying your reactions a lot and have followed this journey from the beginning and its been a wild ride. Thanks for your reactions and I sincerely hope that you will continue enjoying the show.

bruh Barto is one of my fave characters he is the ultimate Straw Hat simp
Also i would have to say the pacing is much worse in Wano rather than this arc. But that's only because the anime and manga are in the same arc right now and they cant afford to let the anime catch up to the manga so they have to keep adding extended scenes and filler scenes. Compared to that I cant even feel the pacing in Dressrosa.

I just realized, that if you pause and look at the Top Executive's chart behind Soldier-san, you can see them marked with their emblems, Spade, Club, and Diamond, but the Heart is empty... Just found that interesting for no particular reason lol

her 4000km is over half of the entire with of the U.S. so to give you an idea on how far it is the US is 4,662km wide so she can see almost the entire country from one coast.

Yes, Block D is indeed part of the reason why people tend to complain about the pacing of Dressrosa. Truth is it takes longer for us to get through it than it had Block C which was Luffy's block, and when you spend so much time focusing on someone who's neither the main protagonists (the Straw Hats) or the main antagonists (the Don Quixote family) people are going to complain. Personally I didn't mind because I like Rebecca, but I can still see from their point of view.
Every content creator needs their own Cavindish someone who will step up and defend them against the masses that have no idea how hard it is at what Ruff and other creators do
