Dude, world building and writing is TOP NOTCH. Slime all the way, anime doesnt give it justice complexity wise

Even ruling out the Slime Diaries spinoff (which you said you wouldn't react to but perhaps watch on your own) there are still the OAD episodes 3-5 which take place inbetween when Rimuru saved the kids at the end of season 1 and the very beginning of season 2, Unlike the Slime Diaries and the first two OAD episodes, 3-5 are in fact canon and deal with an adventure Rimuru's students embarked on (they even remarked on it in the beginning of season 2's first episode). If you're interested, and I hope you are, it's listed another season of the main series which has only 5 episodes, making it stand out against the others. I hope that you'll consider joining us with it while we're waiting for the Slime movie this fall.
