2022-01-06 22:01:23 +0000 UTCHey Ruff, you said that you're surprised to see Luffy struggling and I wanted to clarify that that's because that's tacked on by the animators. In the manga Luffy just bodies Caesar easy peasy. The anime tends to do this thing in post time skip where they'll ruin the power balance of characters for the sake of padding. Same thing with Hordy in Fishman Island. Both Luffy and Zoro are not struggling with Hordy at all. Most of the damage Luffy took is just because he's a devil fruit eater in the ocean and even then, he mostly lost all that blood because he wouldn't stop opening his wounds more and more by punching the Ark a thousand times over.

I even remember youtubers making video essays about this episode. You can really feel the compassion and her genuity about dofi becoming the king of the pirates. The moment you start aiming to become the king of the pirates you ascend to a different level of pirate crew.

As wild as PH has been, that's but a taste of what's to come. Hope you;re as excited as we are. Speaking of what's to come, you should know that 626-628 is pretty much pure filler. Not only does it really add nothing to the story, but it also completely disrespects one of your favorite Straw Hats, one which you have a lot of merch of. However, it does feature the return of a character who you haven't seen in over 500 episodes (and probably never expected to see again.) Therefore while I recommend that you skip it I will leave it up to you whether you watch it or not
