I have been so excited for you to get to these episodes since the arc began and you said you wanted Jimbei on the crew!! I remember losing my mind when this chapter dropped it was so good. The anime did a really good job with it, and the OST for the transfusion scene is one of my favorites of the time skip even though it is just a slow piano cover of the We Go! opening it's still just... so beautiful and emotional.

also its not the first fishman human in a while. during hordys flashback you see his crew hunting down fishman who did transplants. while it was a flashback that still puts it within 20ish years or so that it was still happening rarely but sometimes.

Oh man, the meaning they gave it to the blood transfusion and the way it was animated (not sure if it was like that in the manga) was amazing! And chills with that last line, I was convinced that Luffy would ask in the next episode but what an ending!
