For a quick explanation, as seen in the first episode with Hyakkimaru's skin, Hyakkimaru regains parts of his body that were stolen from him when he slays the demons his father made the deal with. What you saw at the end of the episode was him regaining his nervous system after defeating Bandai. He freaked out because he was injured and could suddenly feel pain. Really hope these reactions can continue at some point!
