I would agree with this if it didn’t spoil a lot of shit. If anything, he can probably watch it after Fishman Island but he wouldn’t be able to see the end end. If he wants to watch the whole thing, he can watch it after Dressrosa.

i think thats what Oda wanted you to think when Ace was first introduced 😂theres no way to figure it out until you get to Sabo's death in the story after all. Also it's never openly mentioned in the story dialogue either

Actually it makes sense that he's his uncle in spirit, just like Ace is Luffy's sworn brother, Rayleigh was the sworn brother of Gol D. Roger. That means that Rayleigh would be like Luffy's uncle.

Rayleigh being Luffy’s uncle was just random bullshit Buggy threw out there since everyone in Luffy’s family is some sort of major powerhouse, so why not just assume Rayleigh is supporting him for some familial bond.
