I actually kinda appreciate these recap episodes since it makes me remember the really cool and hype moments with these characters just before we are about to use all of them to the fullest (well arguably maybe like one or two of them aren't fully utilized until later arcs but no spoilers from me) I like them better of course when I have the luxury of binging, I imagine on original airing these episodes were hated because there is no new content and now you wait a whole other week

Some of the fillers you have to react to because they are essential to the story. The anime is a lot longer and to have the flow working you have to watch them. The only fillers I speed threw was those that had nothing to do with the story at all. And watching the re-cap you realise that Hawk-eye. Had a totally different voice in the old episodes. XD. But I like his newer one better Do your thing. Better to watch to much, than missing certain information.

I'm glad you watched these episodes for you, Ruff. Screw the impatient people. Toxic assholes aside, One Piece is so extensive that I can see why these episodes/recaps are so helpful. Some people have been watching this over and over for years and forget how much there is to take in on just a first viewing of OP. People might complain that you miss things, but like hell anyone can catch everything OP has going on, even if they analyze every single second. Doing my own rewatch in prep to watch your reactions, there are so many things that just make more sense now upon rewatching. Not because I wasn't paying attention the first time, but because I straight up forgot with how many crazy things are happening simultaneously. So I'd say it's a really good call to do these recaps and refresh yourself before going into this Goliath of an arc.

So happy you decided to react to these episodes. Yeah, they're filler and recap. But they add so much to the next arc, especially to bring everyone back up to date with what had happened. Definitely helped when it was airing at the time for a lot of people, but even for more grouped up watching like for your reactions, it helps prepare you for Marineford that much more.

I feel like without the filler, anime onlys would forget just how strong Blackbeard really is. I think Mageallen is way too OP, personally. So yeah, Ruff reacting to the retrospective episodes is the right move, regardless of how toxic the fans are being. To Blackbeard and Moria. They arent weak, they just have different strenghts. Being strong isnt the same as being able to take a lot damage in. Blackbeard is just the opposite to Luffy, in many ways. Blackbeard feels more pain, because his fruit sucks pain in. Luffy feels less pain, because of his rubber. Blackbeard is a overpowered bastards, but he has his weak points. If he activated his fruit before Luffy attacked, he would not been hit by him. But he is arrogant and while normally being intelligent and tactical sometimes very unreasonable and stupid. That makes him such a interesing villain. Moria also isnt weak, he is just not the typical, cool, badass front combatant. But theoratically he could beat every single other warlord and admiral with his power. If he does it right. Its like comparing Zoro to Usopp. It doesnt make sense. Yes, Zoro is obviously stronger. But Usopp has other strenghs. Dont forget. Zoro couldnt beat Perona, Usopp/Sogeking did. ;)

Apparently I’m in the minority pool. I loved watching this filler, even if it was mostly recap. Helped the hype for Marineford to me cause it showed what happened to get to this point. Plus, I got some nice little extra scenes of Ace and Luffy as kids and Ace on the Striker. (I like my little details ok? 🤣) Ruff, I know I asked for the rest of the StrawHat whereabout episodes last Saturday. Sorry about that. I thought you were following what you did last time with those whereabout episodes and uploading all four. You do you and react to what you want and how you want to. I love these reactions and it brightens up my Wednesdays and Saturdays. (I know I’ve been agreeing with the 482 and 483 being together. It is for your best interest though that those two should be reacted to together. Trust me 😁. I swear I’m trying not be pushy with it. Me and anyone else who brings it up just want you to have the best experience with those episodes)

It wouldn’t surprise me if most of the people complaining ARE children. I’m not a One Piece fan (I’m trying to get into it because of the hype, but it’s not looking like it for me) but I came here to see the comments and it’s so interesting the complaints folk have about him doing something he clearly told everyone he was going to do beforehand. when you’re caught up on the series, like me, I skipped all filler regardless of “how good it looked” so it’s odd to me that a guy who gets payed to react to things reacts to the filler. filler in one piece is notoriously bad. and it doesn’t help him that we have been waiting for marineford for a week and half now, about to be 2 weeks cause of his filler. we just feel robbed cause we payed to see him react to cannon not filler. it would’ve been nice if uploaded all 4 strawhat episodes one day and than this on wednesday, but he didn’t, he’s milking it out for whatever reason and making the people who pay wait longer.
