Hi there. This is awesome, YuYu is one of my all-time favorite old-school shonen! After you finish the dub version (if you do) please, PLEASE rewatch it in original Japanese, voices are a lot better. In English, they just sound forced (both in sound and dialog), specially Kuwabara's. So yeah, just a suggestion :) Edit: not saying you should record that, maybe just watch it later by yourself :)

I honestly love YYH more than I did HxH. To me older series don't get the attention not because they aren't great but the average anime viewer now seem to be fairly new to anime and don't want to watch old animation. They aren't interested in trying the old stuff. They see a trailer for a new show with gorgeous animation and it gets them hyped. If these older series were remade they would be huge no doubt. Some of my favorites are yuyu as well as Great Teacher Onizuka. Hope you can continue it.

I would definitely watch reactions to Yu Yu Hakusho. I wish it was subtitled, since I'm not american, but that's okay. Maybe because I'm a little older, I'm not interested in the vast majority of these new shows, like Jujutsu Kaisen. I subscribe to your patreon only because of One Piece. But if you react to slightly older anime, like Yu Yu Hakusho and Berserk 1997, I would certainly watch it. It's not something I demand or ask for because I know I'm not in the majority.

Like imagine if there was a revamp like Hxh2011, not many people watched or knew about hxh1999 but we all know how great it is, if there was a YuYu2021 the hype would definitely rise again

Honestly I believe it's a combination of everything why there aren't too many reactions out there. Older anime, older animations, a lot of older people have seen it already when it was airing, younger people just haven't heard about it , etc . Easily an amazing anime, classic togashi feel , 110% worth the watch

Same creator, Yu Yu hakusho was in Shonen Jump so the artist was forced on dead lines and stuff. Hunter X Hunter is the story he actually wanted to tell with Yu Yu Hakusho.

I am loving your reactions to this personally and would enjoy it as a series. I've said the same about Code Geass though and yet it isn't doing well. I wish zoomers would give these older animes a shot. Shout out to any youngins out there that like older anime.

Ruff, Yusuke begins to learn how to use powers during episode 5-8. 9-13 is where IMO it starts to get truly good. Around Episode 26 is when shit gets real.
