Honestly I think ppl like Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, and Franky, Kuma had reasons for sending them where he did and maybe I can buy he somehow knew the Revolutionary Army would soon b to Robins Island but based on what happens with Brooke I refuse to believe he did anything but guess with him (which makes sense because he was the newest crew member and not much is know. About him by others yet)…Also he has his reasons but I’d say it’s way less about there weakness and moreso something else

He mistakenly believed that they were about Ace. He didn't realize that only the first episode was about him and that the second one was about the admirals and warlords. Basically he either overlooked or ignored those of us who tried to warn him that those episodes were just flashback filler, the worst kind of filler, and now it's too late to do anything about it because it's already recorded and scheduled to be released. At least we won't have to wait 2 weeks to get through it the way we did when we originally watched them ourselves, so that's something to be thankful for at least.

Thats not true, at least not when it comes to the latest arc . We even know that Toei got permission from Oda to enhance certain scenes ..... and it shows . There are way to many things skipped/offscreen in the Manga atm and Toei does a good job in filling those gaps .....

Oda has nothing to do with the anime. He has said so in many interviews. He spends 20 hrs a day working on the manga. 6 days a week. He has no time for consulting the anime. There isnt a such thing as anime canon because the only thing canon is the manga. Its just a made up phrase for anime fanboys to justify horrible filler.

Anime canon is something that Oda didn't have the time to put it in the manga or forgot, so he told the people working on the anime to add it. Oda cares about the anime and He considers it the Final result of the story.

an example of this is the blonde child in nico robins episode in the snow bridge. She isnt in the manga but she is anime canon, as in she may get referenced later in the anime as if it really happened.

On anime cannon: Anima cannon is something that indeed happened in the manga, but is somewhat or greatly expanded upon in the anime. In the manga, there was only one pannel of each straw hat on their own island. The anime greatly expanded it so show what they did on each island, thus it is anime cannon. The only real difference between this and filler is that the anime cannon often has a very real impact on the story and characters.

kuma didn't send to places where they could get over their weakness , clearly he sent them to specific islands where they can improve themselves , franky went to a futuristic island where vegapunk was born , robin was sent in place where she will meet the revolutionary army , ussop to a trickster island , sanji to an ivankov island who uses his legs mainly to fight , nami to the weather island , Brook chopper and zoro's(beside the swordmonkeys) reason for being sent their are yet to be revealed , so im not spoiling those, im actually surprised you didn't catch that , you are very smart and perceptive with these things

Nope, the earliest episode with only Zoro and Luffy in a boat has Zoro explain he never found his home town so he became a bounty hunter to survive. He was lost from the start.

I'd have to disagree on the take that they were all sent to a place where they'd have something to overcome. For instance, Kuma wouldn't have known that Franky would get tea put in him or that Robin would get captured. There is a reason why Kuma sent each person where they went but it's not to overcome something. The reasoning for each will become clearer later on.

I hate that this is when Robin gets White Washed! Why? She looked better with her dark skin, It's almost as if they did it soo she could take on certain roles in the future. But it still sucks! QAQ

This is 💯. I'd also like to add that anime cannon does become more prevalent as the story has continued and the anime nipped at the heels of the manga. But it's still all stuff Oda says happens and therefore is unquestionable.

What animefillerlist has listed as "Anime Canon" are episodes which are not directly adapting manga material but is still important to the anime story. An example is the Davy Back Fight. The manga was only three games but the anime extended it to six games; however, if you skip the middle fights that are not in the manga then you'd be confused as to what happened and why Robin is a part of the Foxy Pirates. That makes the anime canon episodes important to watch. With the Straw Hats separation, in the manga they had two panels showing where they were and later in the manga you had a few more pages of each showing what they did. The anime expanded upon this so most of what they show is original material. However, once again, skipping these would cause confusion later so it is important to the anime story thus Anime Canon.

So funny how you mention how absolutely terrible Zoro’s sense of direction is. So there’s a popular One Piece theory that Zoro’s sense of direction got bad once he got his cursed sword (sry forgot the name). Cause if you go back to the east blue, he had a relatively good sense of direction, however after he got his cursed sword he started getting worse. And so ppl believe that the curse of that cursed sword is to give the weirder horrible direction sense; cause as you saw to Zoro he believes he’s not getting lost, that he’s going the right way when actually he’s getting lost

Awwwww yeah. It's about to pop off. While I wouldn't call the next arc my favorite of the series, it is certainly one of the most hype.

Anime canon is things that are only in the anime and not in the manga but they are relevant to the anime later on such as being referenced in later canon episodes.
