The school scenes are to establish them as characters in their normal lives and also to create a parallel between their double lives and the society structure at the same time. We would never know who they are in their core if all moments were super crazy mecha rebellion scenes, at least it would cost much more time to develop. Of course it is a personal taste, but I find it brilliant. Those moments are not hyped and you are always waiting to see the hyped moments, but isn't it that helps to hype those moments even more?

You can’t just not react to S2. The ending of S1 is such a cliffhanger. You will want to see more. And S2 is just as great as S1

There have been lots of clues and foreshadowing that will become clear later but you would have to be a genius super sleuth to figure them out or recognize them. And be advised two of the weaker episodes are coming up and then OMG.

same, OP and CG are the only reactions I am really interested in right now. I don't want to commit to sth new and long as Black Clover and I don't really like Dr. Stone. I also think his reactions to CG are perfectly fine and I hope he'll maybe give us a reaction for some key episodes or at least for the finale if he doesn't want to react to the whole season....

Personally hoping for season 2 reactions as well. C.C. was definitely talking to someone. Hope you recognize the name when she mentions it. You are right about having to zone in for CG since it's so detail and lore packed. On the flip side it also makes reactions more valuable because there's no way you're catching everything first time around. The new prince Schniezel for example is the second name Clovis mentioned as knowing about Marianne's death. And Since Cornelia apparently idolized Marianne it's looking less likely that she knows anything useful. Oh and Euphie got out of her clothes to avoid getting sick since they were soaked. That's the only reason.

Code Geass is in my top ten. I'm also not a fan of Mecha anime, but this and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann are pretty amazing (for different reasons). Code Geass can be too much to take in at once and if you so much as blink, you'll miss out on a key detail.

Things are getting crazy. I personally really like this reaction series, it feels like I'm watching alongside a friend. I'd be happy to watch even if you have to pause and react before continuing the episode more often. Also, really love to see you react to Season 2!

For the Kallen scene, she was reaching for the knife in her jacket pocket and then used the jacket to conceal the knife from Suzaku so he'd have less of a chance to react to it. But yeah, I'd agree it's pretty gratuitous. I'm personally loving this reaction series and would like to see you continue them! I wouldn't mind you pausing the videos more to give your thoughts if that helps, but I get that you're getting busier and this series doesn't even go to YT right now. I hope you change your mind after watching the season finale though, because these next few episodes are not going to be anything close to what you're probably expecting!

For choosing to show high school scenes in Code Geass, I do enjoy them. Lelouch as a character, is not only Zero, but he also works with the student council as the vice president, so his life is definitely extremely busy. It does give a break from the war, and also adds more risk for Lelouch and Kallen being discovered. It's kinda cool how despite there being a war going on, Suzaku and Lelouch can be great friends at school. I would like to see more reactions during the second season, but yeah that's up to you if you want to continue reacting to it. I'll just say the 2nd season has even more plot twists, and overall as a season I'd say many people, including myself, think it's better than the first season.

The high school stuff never really bothered me too much, I think it provides a lot of tension and intrigue around how Lelouch hides in plain sight, as well as some lighthearted gags to break up the crazy action. It's also such a typical anime trope of high schoolers saving the world that it never felt out of place to me for the genre.

This is my favorite reaction series of yours. One Piece is my favorite series, but this one is really nostalgic for me and I'd really like to see you watch season 2. I do understand the sentiment of it being hard to give a good reaction. I personally don't mind you pausing to give thoughts or something. I am totally fine with how you are handling things currently, and it's too bad that there isn't enough support for the show even here where it won those polls.
