It would be cool to see more hand to hand combat from Asta, but I think the only times he’d really be able to is if he’s pretty much already beaten them/made them use up their magic with his sword or if they’re pretty weak like this guy. Otherwise it’d be hard for him to get close enough or break through any defensive magic

Gauche is definitely an “interesting” character, but I generally like him cuz he just dotes on her like crazy and he does get better with others as time goes on. And yes Marie is his actual sister and he has been having to care for her for a long time hence the overprotective doting.
