Also Ruff just a heads up, sometimes the Zoldycks will refer to her as "He/Him" Togashi has clearly made her as a trans charachter and clearly Killua is only right when reffering to her pronouns and not the way the other zoldydcs reffer to her.

Manga readthroughs are vibey. there are parts that people might want a dedicated reaction vid for but think one or two stream vods is ideal. nothing major that you can spoil in a few words so live chat should be fine. If u read solo I need a reaction to the Hisoka madness at least tho <3

it depend of what you are going for I would say at some point it is become incredibly interesting. I would says it is super for reaction and it maybe good to take note a this point. I personally think that at a certain point of the manga you can literally make two you tube episode by chapter a reaction and a comentary / reflexion on the chapter. because a lot of stuff is happening I feel like I need 3 brains to get everything, it become literally 3d chess and it is amazing.

You can not casually read the manga. You're going to want to talk with people about every single chapter you read mulling over what you just read. I would keep it to one a week for that reason. The series could also come back in 50 weeks. We're on day 901 of the Hiatus.....I'm sure we won't hit 1250 :'-) Glad you picked up on Illumi possibly altering Killua's memories with the needle too. This also explains how Killua didn't know Nen until he left with Gon yet recognized his Grandpa's Dragon Dive.

I see that Alluka fight has started. For the record, unless something has recently changed, we have not been given an official explanation for the gender confusion. People get pretty attached to why they think it is, an insult anyone who doesn't agree with them, but never actually provide a source other than 'because I say so.' There seem to be 3 main theories. The most popular theory seems to be that Aluka is transgender. Killua, the good brother, respects that and uses her preferred pronoun, the rest of the family are dicks. Another theory is that the Zoldycks have a family tradition of calling all their children sons, regardless of gender. Perhaps it's to hide family secrets, perhaps it's because a female might lead the family and would be expected to keep the family name - there is another family in the manga that does just that. Or maybe it's just a weird family tradition - the Zoldycks are a fairly unique family. This theory allows Kalluto - the one that was following around their mother when we first met the family and later joined the Phantom Troupe - to also be female, which Kalluto's design seems to indicate. And finally, it's in some way related to Aluka's dual nature. I won't go too much into it right now, but while this theory's never made complete sense to me, it does have its proponents. Whichever it is, no, it's not going to be addressed anywhere in the show or manga - at least not so far. Maybe one day we'll get an official answer from the author, but for now, we're left with our theories.

They're the same people who freak out when people mention the blatant queer overtones in Killua's character (let's not forget Togashi wrote this series in the first place because his gay sports manga was rejected) because he's "a child" and that makes anyone who thinks about his sexuality a pedo, all while obsessing over the genitals of his younger sister.

Some Series you seemed to like and might want to continue is: Shield Hero, 24 Episodes. The second Season coming this year. That time I got reincarnated as a slime 36 episodes plus 5 OVA second part of Season 2 coming this summer. Elfen Lied. 12 Episodes. Or Continue Drifters X) After the 3 that are out so 12 Episodes left. X) Then you have Castlevania that as 22 Episodes (3 Seasons) and the 4th season coming out now which will be the last one. I think you would like this one. :)

I suggest reacting to the first 20 chapters because of a certain event and then doing the rest on your own since it will be kinda hard to do it as a reaction. once you finish the anime you will have an idea what the next arc is gonna be about

Ruff I want to clarify how Allukas power works for you. Not a spoiler, They explained it in the episode but I think you missed a very key line. The severity of Allukas requests does not keep increasing with each wish. The severity of the requests depends upon how big of a wish the last person made. For instance, when the killua asked Alluka to throw him in the air this was a small request, so Alluka asked the next person for simple things. But after that woman asked for a million bucks, Alluka started asking for body parts. It's equivalent exchange, except the next person pays the price. This is why Killua said that since the last wish was just a computer for his brother that the requests shouldn't be too bad.

It's mostly just the last 20 chapters that are like that, the rest of the manga is fairly reasonable. Personally I find the text in the manga of the CA arc to be far better than the narration in the anime, for example. But the text in this last arc is definitely over-the-top. It's practically a book lol

yeah the election arc is my favorite alongside with the chimera ant. this arc is usually overshadowed by the chimera ant, thats why people dont talk much about it but it has amazing writing

Hey Ruff, I think it makes sense to start reading the Manga right away, maybe that's just my selfishness from me wanting to hear your thoughts on it. Like Gabriel mentioned above, there's a ton of dialogue and unfortunately it's needed because of the amount new information that gets thrown at you. I'm not sure if it's a great manga to react to but maybe read it on your own and then post a video or share your thoughts on your weekly podcast? Just a thought.

Hey Ruff, personally I'd like to see a manga readthrough but one thing you should know is that one of the manga's biggest criticisms is how dialogue heavy it is. As in literal walls of text. So just keep that in mind if you decide to read through. For a lot of people it was a turn off
