It's actually an old debate. Revolution v Reformation. Revolting can be the faster and more efficient methods of change, but reformation is longer lasting and causes less strife. One example would be the Protestant Reformation in the 1500's. Martin Luther sought to reform the Catholic church from the inside, but his movement was taken up by protestant extremists who revolted and eventually separated from the Catholic church.

2021-04-19 02:10:59 +0000 UTCCode Geass is a series that, if you blink, you’ll miss key information. This episode showed the two sides of Lelouch and Suzaku. One wants to take down the empire with war and the other to live under the oppression, in order to change it from the inside.

2021-04-18 20:36:25 +0000 UTCYou're so right about the AoT and Code Geass connection--especially with the similarities between Eren [s4] and Lelouch, being morally grey and intelligent protagonists that follow the "ends justify the means" type of mentality.

2021-04-18 20:24:00 +0000 UTCYes one of the great parts of the show is that Lelouch and Suzaku are essentially mortal enemies, the champions of their respective sides, and neither of them know.
