Okay so I was sick and may of watched 100 eps of Black clover since u started it X'D As a Onepiece and HxH fan I legally have to say that black clover is shit cause it feels like its written by a 12yr old in comparison.... but its classic cartoon power of friendship vibes which can hit the spot. Code Geass is machiavellian whereas black clover is like yugioh... I watched ep16-20 of BC high and that's when i finally fell for the show. Totally happy with your current schedule. I'd rec some shorter anime classics that are episodic; like Samurai Champloo, Mushishi, Kino no tabi ect. Also Garry and his Demons is funny

Fun fact about what Killua said to Meleron! There's a bit of a translation error, when Killua says "At worst he'll trade his life for Pitou's" when the translation is "Worst case senario, it'll be a double suicide." He uses the word "shinjuu" which typically refers to a lover's/double suicide (think romeo and juliet) but basically when he says he'll rejoin Gon he hints that he's planning to die with him - kinda scary how deep his loyalty runs even when Gon cut ties with him, at this point it's pretty toxic too.

I love your One Piece and Hunter x Hunter reactions. They’re my top 2 favorite shows (OP #1 and HxH #2). Will seriously miss HxH when you’re done. I think another show you should definitely check out if you haven’t already is Mob Psycho 100. It’s not that long (only 2 seasons so far) and I think it’s such an underrated show. The animation is amazing and the characters are so lovable. Also, if you’re interested in newer shows, definitely check out Jujutsu Kaisen. The first season just finished and it is one of the best shows to come out recently. Thanks for the great reactions. Can’t wait to see what else you react to.

The Manga is only about 20-30 ish episodes ahead of where the anime ended. The current arc to me is still in its infancy as far as it can possibly stretch. A lot has happened but I don't think we're to it's version of Kite dying yet. Youpi would one-shot Uvo. He'd be sliced, splattered, or stabbed in a few seconds. I'm talking prior to the Transformation. By Pouf's habit Youpi meant over thinking things instead of just acting on instinct.

The manga is around 50 chapters ahead, and is setting up an arc with the potential to surpass this arc. This arc has tremendous character development (and many more themes and elements) and mostly are too sublte, thus easy to miss at first watch. HxH wears a simple-generic anime facade but in reality, is actually surprisingly super complex, complicated, philosophical, logical and intricate. Theres a never ending amount of stuff to analyze, heck even a gon character analysis is surprisingly rich and compelling!. Although i objectively think HxH is the greatest written anime of all time, as a manga though, the medium limits its potential. (It is still amazing). I honestly think itll work better if it were a novel or a light/visual novel. Anyway, in the manga, when knov went to retrieve morel back, morel was so pissed at knuckle he gave him the middle finger! I love knuckle, but he is very foolish and that character of his was his weakness. It was what morel had in mind from the very beginning and why he was adamant of letting him (and knuckle) join the mission. He knew him that well, knuckle couldnt shake that character off, and he was right. :(

I do want more Black Clover and Code Geass, but I also wouldn't mind YuYu Hakusho. I consider this to be the best dubbed series I've ever watched. (Though, when I was watching it as a kid, I didn't even know about subbed versions. So I might have to watch it subbed eventually.) Plus, if you want more from the author of HxH, that's the way to go.

This arc is all about character development, the monsters are becoming the humans and the humans are becoming the monsters, you don't know what's right and wrong anymore. Meruem, Youpi and even Pitou are getting amazing character development, more and more starting to understand human feelings while the mc, Gon is becoming a monster himself.

About your question as to what you should do next after HxH... I would also vote more One Piece as I'm biased asf and love it just as much as this series and can't get enough of your reactions to it either. That or watching three episodes of HxH till it ends would also be super awesome (I know you asked about what to do after but I think this would also be a good idea, maybe?). But I get it if you don't have the time or don't want the series to quickly come to an end or just don't wanna do it in general lmao. Doing either of those or Neon Genesis Evangelion (though you're already watching Code Geass so you might not want another mecha anime) or Death Parade is a vote from me. As for the manga, read it once you finish this because it has an epic fight in it. But as others have said, its not that far ahead from the show. NOW onto your reaction: I HAD THE SAME REACTION WHEN HE TOOK APR AWAY!!! Total and complete utter shock. But yeah, the royal guard is changing immensely to becoming more human. You'll eventually see why this is such a great anime because it has so many gray areas especially in this arc that differentiate it from other anime. Truly a masterpiece. Edit: OH I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT HAIKYUU!! REACT TO MORE OF THAT but maybe next time without streaming it live because you seemed a bit distracted lol

I watchedone of the podcast highlights and you mentioned charlotte, and yeah, charlotte is pretty damn good and underrated so it would be something i would be here for. So with the extra time that finishing HxH will give you I would vote to put it towards more One Piece. While I love Code Geass and I have yet to start Black Clover(though I hear it's awesome too), if you take into account how long One Piece is relative to the other series you would finish any other series you are watching before getting to the best parts of One Piece at your current pace. If you were to do more One Piece then the amount of story that you get through will balance out to keep pace with the other shows you are watching. One Piece is awesome but it's so long that you have to go through a lot more episodes to get to the good parts of any arc you watch, whereas with shorter anime they get into the hype with fewer episodes because they have to.

Unfortunately Ruff. The HxH manga isn't that far ahead of the show, and it is extremely unlikely the manga will ever continue / be finished. Most people just accept the show as the cannon ending, although it technically isn't, but it's better than acknowledging a manga that will never finish

I'm personally more excited for Black Clover, even though Code Geass is a far superior show I feel like it won't produce as many hype reactions as Black Clover will. I remember you mentioned watching Jujutsu Kaisen possibly as a stream series when watching OP movie 6, and that would be really fun. Also in the future around summer or fall the anime adaptation for Chainsaw Man should be released (by the same studio that did aot and jjk) which is a show I think you would love. The only thing I have to say about Jujutsu Kaisen being a stream series is that maybe you should do a brief recap for yourself by reading the manga or something before season 2, because details are very important in jjk and a lot of things won't make sense if you were interacting with chat and missed a part. Also if by any chance you haven't watched Fate/Zero, it is a fantastic short series that can be watched without any of the other Fates, and would provide for some fantastic reactions.

I can understand where you're coming from with Code Geass, the art style is very unorthodox and can be hard to get used to. It is up there as one of the all time greats for most people who have watched it though, and from what I've seen on youtube the most common (and from my personal experience with the two shows best) comparison for it is Death Note. It really is a legendary show and probably has one of if not the greatest endings in anime history. I really do recommend watching it, if not on your own then at least watching the entire thing with Ruff.

Personally, I'm not too excited for Code Geass. I have never seen it, but the theme and animation style just never appealed to me. I am excited about your Black Clover reaction and also looking forward to Shaman King, when that happens. I feel it's a terrible job to "recommend" a show to replace HxH, because it's just on a level only few shows can reach.. If you would like to experiment with something new, I would love to see the Junji Ito collection. A collection of some amazing horror short stories that is beautifully animated and super creepy. It's not bloody or gory, just amazing at "atmospheric" horror.

The manga is around 50 chapters ahead of the end of the anime, so there's quite a bit of material. If you're up for it, I think chapter reactions would be amazing. The story in the manga is phenomenal and the current arc is, in my opinion, close to being on par or even better than the Chimera Ant arc in terms of storytelling. In any case, this reaction was top-tier just because you didn't immediately get pissed off at Knuckle :P
