DUUUUDEEE same. I despise mecha anime I hate them with everything I have and I will never accept mecha anime. I watched all of Code Geass because it is supposed to be a masterpiece and honestly it's pretty damn good but I would still rate it a 7/10 just because of my hate for mecha anime and the entire setting, fights, world and all that stuff mecha anime brings with it. If I wasn't a mecha hater this anime would've gotten a 9/10 from me I think. The only mecha anime I fully watched and I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it but I don't feel like I missed out on much either eventough the ending is pretty awesome.

Either way, just wanted to mention that it actually has a good dub. Its understandable though, really the older the anime, the better the dub it seems.

I can't stand mecha anime but i still like Code Geass and if you watch it you probably will. I don't consider it a mecha anime in my mind, more like a mind battle like death note but with mecha elements. The thing that bothers me a little more is the Clamp art style and unecessary school parts that take away from the action in lots of episodes. Regardless the elements that make this a masterpiece far outweights these elements, if anything it's worth trying out

Also because this series is so fast paced and the story/worldbuilding are so well-done, it's always a blast to rewatch since you'll always be picking up on new things they're setting up or foreshadowing so it's perfect for a reaction series!

Hell yes please do a full react to Code Geass!! It's probably my favorite anime after One Piece! It's definitely a very fast-paced and cerebral anime, kinda like Death Note, so you really have to pay attention or else you'll miss important things. Every episode has crazy twists and cliffhangers so it's pretty hard to pick and choose episodes to react to. Luckily there's only two seasons (25 episodes each, so 50 in total) so you should be able to get through it pretty quickly. I also see a lot of people recommending you watch the dub. I've never personally seen the dub but I've had some friends watch it and like it. I would still recommend sticking to the Japanese, though, the Japanese voice actors even won some awards for their work on this series!

Ok, now THIS is a legendary anime. I enjoyed seraph of the end, but Code Geass is unforgettable. It has some obvious flaws, but manages to be top tier despite them. This would definitely be higher priority. Also, if you ever rewatch this try the English dub. It's actually even better. You're probably used to the Japanese by now though.
