I watched the entire Naruto series and loved it so much. (Boruto, not so much...) BUT it's not even in my top ten. The next series I watched easily blew this one right out of the water...literally. Yeah, I'm talking about One Piece. Compared to OP, Naruto is just...meh to me. Now don't get me wrong. Naruto is still good. But there are definitely better ones out there.

So just watched you reaction to the shippuden openings from 2020 and thought I should leave this here because you don't seem to remember anything of value from OG Naruto and a lot of the stuff you need to know is not covered by Shippuden. This is a list of all the Naruto episodes with the non-canon ones marked so you can skip them. You should either watch all the canon ones privately or read the Naruto manga until chapter 238 which is the end of OG Naruto. Yes do it!! Please continue Shippuuden. Subs are INFINITELY better than dub for this show, as you now hear. OG Naruto Dubs where so bad that it forced a teenage me to finally acclimate to reading subtitles so I didn't have to rely on (terrible) dubs. Not all dubs are like this but it is what it is. Anyway, This is a fantastic show despite a few flaws. Thematically, Naruto to Shippuuden stays equally dark, but I would add that the more modern art direction and OST help to accentuate that vibe.

I honesly love Naruto Shippuden, and definitely not the OG ones. I would love to see you react for all of the episodes in Naruto Shippuden's. I also watched One Piece from the very beginning till now with the uncut ver in this patreon tho, and I'd love you to do the same with Naruto Shippuden. So, please make my dream comes true Senpai.

I agree Naruto comes short to other top series, but it will always be in my top 10 because i grew up with it, being one of the first anime i watched and i have a special love for it. I guess a lot of fans are like that as well, it has a special place in my heart.

The only reason I’d like to watch you go through Naruto would be because I haven’t watched many animes (I’m here solely for One Piece), but damn, I suffered a lot while watching it being used to One Piece storytelling and world building, Naruto’s weak as hell in those areas. Naruto tried to be a modern DBZ (just action) when the standards have changed since those times.

I also feel like naruto is pretty overrated , if I'm going to use One Piece as an example against it. Just thinking of the top 5 moments in One piece. You can effortlessly have a top 5 with no fighting whereas with Naruto ur top 5 is more than likely all fight scenes. Don't get me wrong Naruto choreography and fighting is top tier but if we're taking a full plot for plot and overview I would def go against Naruto

Naruto is definitely way more popular than One Piece in America, but OP is huge in Japan and the rest of the world. Unfortunately I think it comes down to the dub, as bad as the Naruto dub can be a lot of kids watched it back in the day, but the 4Kids dub for OP was so much worse (which really sucks bc OP is definitely the superior series imo)

I suggest you rewatch og Naruto (sub of corse) skip parts of it you don’t like. Definitely skip filler. Then react to this. That said it has many issues. Pacing being one. And only after you have enjoyed a couple other anime. Definitely watch Black Clover.

Hype to see you finally do this reaction, ur right Shippuden is darker than OG on the whole but both have dark/light moments. Also I 100% feel you on the dub/sub part of it I went thru the dub once to see if I could get used to it and be ok with it (and tbh i did find it good enough after a while) but the sub is sooo much better on the overall. I hope u do continue with it cause I think with sub u will actually enjoy it but for the love of god skip the filler, its not even necessarily that the filler is bad, in fact some of it is quite good, but its just there's so goddamn much of it that basically half of shippuden is filler. PS If u do go thru with it I think you'll still end up liking One piece more but Shippuden does make for a pretty good anime that'd probably get close to the top of your list

The cat hunt at the beginning I believe is a call back to original mission Naruto had with his group in the OG show, now Konohamaru and his friends are doing that mission type. just showing time has passed new people are coming in and growing up.

Naruto is a likable enough main character, but the worldbuilding and plot really aren't the best. Even the "magic system" doesn't really follow its own rules when they essentially give up using hand signs for the bigger and more complex jutsu. Btw, Ruff, Naruto is only more popular than One Piece in the west. I wouldn't even say it beats DBZ here. It has quite a few memes, sure, but as far as diehard or even invested fans go One Piece and DBZ hold the records.

Naruto is alright, great fight choreography, some strong moments. My main issues come from some side characters getting thrown under the bus in terms of screentime and some story directions I'm not a fan of after push-man is done in. It has a special place in my heart despite its flaws.

While I would love to see your reactions to Naruto Shipuden I really don't think you could do both Shippuden and One Piece at the same time without burning yourself out. If you do decide to watch Shippuden you should privately watch the sub for og Naruto episodes 107-135 and ep 220, it is needed for context that you will need in the series. Also look into a list of which shippuden episodes are filler as there are a lot of them.

Nice reaction as always! I watched Naruto when it was still ongoing and I actually waited for this episode a looot! I was so hyped lol! And it lived up to my expectations for the most part! I love Sasuke vs Kyuubi at the beginning! But then it went downhill for me afterwards with multiple mistakes from the mangaka and the fact that he just discarded many important plotlines and crucial characters! OG Naruto was better overall IMO! As for the anime I would like next: I think either jujutsu Kaisen or Black Clover would be great! :)

It would be awesome to see you react to naruto shippuden but at the same time IT'S A WHOLE ASS PROJECT in itself without taking into account your other projects on top of one piece so it's completely up to you. OG naruto is heavily filled with filler and much lighter compared to shippuden. Shippuden is much darker and better but still has HELLA skippable filler that if you watch you want to rip your ears off. Probably about 30% of filler is actually necessary to the story plot and should be watched to be able to fully grasp the story and events. Love all the effort you put into your videos man.

OG Naruto is excellent, whereas Shippuden is mostly mid, because of subpar writing for some major arcs. I don't count filler of course. Shippuden does still have awesome fights and some cool arcs, even a top tier arc in the Pain arc. I like both, but if you didn't really care for OG Naruto, I can't see why you would like Shippuden any more. Watch what you want though, I'm not trying to say anybody shouldn't watch it.

It's easy to lookdown on Naruto nowadays, I actually do this myself. But to be honest, it's pretty much history, I only had this when I was a child. It's not like nowadays where there is 30 new animes every season. I made very good friends because of Naruto. It was a good times. Nowadays the pacing is too slow compared to the norm. Well made compact seasons provide better structure than long running filled with fillers.
