I definitively find the mention of religion the most interesting in this episode. Basically Onyankopon believes that just as God created different skin colors for humans, God also made Eldians capable of transforming into Titans. It makes me wonder if the origin of the Titan Powers does really come from a divine source? Now it makes sense, why other "normal" humans were helping the Eldians in Paradis, Yelena and most of her comrades are people from other nations that Marley conquered, so their liberty was taken away just as the Eldians, people looking for freedom, having an alliance with other group of people looking for the same.

2021-02-08 08:51:14 +0000 UTCTo clarify, Yelena and Onyankopon are neither Eldian nor Marleyan, biologically. Hange said they're from other nations conquered by Marley, conscripted as Marleyan soldiers. Eldians aren't the only ones oppressed.
