He is what I believe a lot of us wish we could be. :) Tho he does some things that make you question him but I think he does some of those things because he knows it's bad and he wants to get a rise out of people still love him as a character. X) He and Illumi are my favourite characters then in third comes Killua. XD

2020-12-13 14:50:59 +0000 UTCI do not consider Hisoka antagonist, cuz he is more like chaotic good or neutral. Hisoka did not really do anything outright evil, so he is more like a guy, who likes fighting strong opponents and does anything he wants... :D

Get ready for some mind-blowing battles, if you really like strategy on fights, the you're really going to love HxH fights.

2020-12-13 09:23:12 +0000 UTCAlso, quick heads up, since you're talking about how great the fights are: they are, and Nen is my favorite power system in anime, but the most famous part of the show (Chimera Ants) really isn't about the action, it's about the characters and plot development and themes, so don't go in thinking it's going to be some epic fast-paced action battle-packed arc when really it's an incredibly slow, tense, still incredibly epic story that really gives you insight into the world and characters and develops in ways you'd never expect. Basically, don't go into this show thinking it'll stay the same and you'll be able to predict what'll happen. In general don't have expectations. The story's more fun when you just let it happen and understand that it all comes together at the end, even if you can't see that at the moment.

Also please read the manga, the two arcs that haven't been animated are great and give some much-needed screentime to certain characters.

2020-12-13 04:02:21 +0000 UTCThat's rather exaggerated by people, usually those who read it on Mangadex (which has the weekly releases) rather than the redrawn volume releases. As someone who's read the volumes, it genuinely looks perfectly fine, not great, but about as good as Golden Wind and Stone Ocean in black & white (since those were sort of an artistic lowpoint for Araki, even if GW is my favorite arc). The exception is the first two arcs, which are a bit rough, and the Election arc, where he gave the hell up even in the volume release. Yorknew City through Chimera Ants all look solid and everything that's manga-only also looks solid. The real problem is the insane amount of text in the last 20 chapters. It's like reading a book. It's too much. It annoys me, though, when people pretend the 2011 anime is just inherently better when it's not. Certain things are better, like a lot of the fight scenes and artwork, but certain things are better in the manga, like all of the Chimera Ant arc.

2020-12-13 00:00:30 +0000 UTCThis arc is super important in explaining how Nen and fighting with Nen works in HxH overall, it's pretty complex but it makes sense once you've seen all the explanations. I highly recommend taking notes. If you understand the systems layed out in this arc you will enjoy later episodes more since you know what characters are doing. This is the turn in the story where fights get super strategic, even going as far as to highlight characters mental states and how they effect the flow of the battle.
