2020-12-03 17:15:41 +0000 UTCAlot of subs call him Eneru because thats how it sounds when its pronounced. There is no L in Japanese. Instead, they roll their tongue which produces an R sound. in this case with Enel, the "L "sounds like "Ru" (with a tongue roll of course)

2020-11-01 08:20:57 +0000 UTCThe one thing is that Eneru is pretty much always used in any officially translated thing I've seen. It's been Eneru in the subs, dub, manga, and video games. The only time that I've seen Enel would be fan translations and the Vivre Card. Sure, the Vivre Card is official but I prefer to use Eneru since that's what I've seen more often.

2020-11-01 04:05:38 +0000 UTCI wish the subs would translate Enel's name as "Enel" instead of "Eneru" since thats the actual official translation but I guess it can technically be either one. Just know that the pronunciation of the name might swap in the subs sometimes because "L" and "R" are interchangeable in Japanese since there is no letter "L" in the language.
