Pretty much this episode was to make Koichi X Yukako the MAIN couple from here on out. Yukako is, surprisingly, not super involved from this point on but this tied up loose ends with her character. The next few episodes are going to escalate the main plot and MANY twist.

The love story, character development, and the occasional changes in art style to that of something you might find in a fairy tale. Imo it's REALLY well done.

Yukako was trying to be someone else when koichi fell in love with her. It was when she had to choose her face that she finally accepted herself. Not knowing which face was her, yet knowing the consequences, she came to accept herself for what would happen and decided to let koichi choose for her.
