I did create a Discord channel for Patreon a couple months ago but I haven't got the chance to set it up properly. I will do it soon then! :D I'm not familiar how it works so let me do some research for a bit haha

Magion02

Thanks a lot Magion02 :3

Less a question and more of a suggestion: have you thought about making a Discord server? It's pretty easy to do, and it'd be nice for chit-chat and things like this. Also, Patreon has built-in support for Discord rewards for patrons.

Hmmm, it's pretty straight forward, to be honest. Let's say your goal is to be a genuine artist who has tons of fans etc, how much you are willing to sacrifice to achieve it. Distraction is everywhere in our daily life so it's all about your determination. But first thing first, you need to ask yourself "Do I really want to be an artist?" you need to love drawing :) if you don't love or enjoy drawing, you can easily get distracted and procrastinate. If I were to share my tips, I'd say look at artists that you like who post regularly and absorb that spark. Feel motivated and remind yourself of your goals. Play games/watch movies/read mangas that you like, admire their art and be inspired to create. Those endeavors will be the best kick start once you feel like you are lacking of discipline! And of course, have faith and keep pushing!

Magion02

Hi there! The answer is really simple, it's because I love girls πŸ˜‚ I do draw guys once in a while.. but whenever I do, I'm a huge fan of that character otherwise I wouldn't find it worth investing on time-wise. Since you mentioned it, I might draw one soon! It's in my to-draw list after all. Thank you for reminding me!

Magion02

I have one more question if you don't mind: How do you keep yourself disciplined? Because I would love to draw more and learn to paint, to become a genuine artist someday, but I don't have the discipline. Do you have any advice?

Why do you never draw guys? Just realized it recently. I love what you are doing, just curious if there was a specific reason or maybe I just didn't look far enough back into your work.

I should listen to see how it goes. Hahaha, I got confused I wanted to put "salty food"

Kurisu

Hey Kurisu! To be honest! I listen to games/movies/anime OST most of the time. They are richer in terms of rhythm/melody and fits the world of imaginations that I have as an artist. For your question "which artist I listen to", it's gonna be Joe Hisaishi πŸ’– as for vocals, it's Yorushika! I kinda prefer Savory food haha

Magion02

Yes, but rarely. There are so many things I want to draw so the flame never goes out. But of course, there will be times where I'm demotivated which caused by burnt out. When that happens, I'll take a break and do other things I enjoy just to reset. I'm always aware that having an interesting art-related endeavor keeps the drawing momentum going. It's important to not overthink too much too on "what to draw" because ideas are everywhere as long as you are open to them and eager to create πŸ™‚ remember what makes you enjoy drawing. What makes you love drawing. Flip through your favorite artist's artbook, watch your fav movies or play your favorite games. While doing that, try playing with the ideas of what you are seeing. Maybe changing or creating an opposite design of the characters that you like. OR maybe, create your own version of the character you like. Another tip is, listen to podcasts from various artists :) they are a lot on Youtube! I hope this helps!

Magion02

I flip through art books, mangas or even play games to keep the inspiration/motivation momentum going! It works 95% of the time for me! Reading comments from you guys also part of what keeps me going, to be honest :) so allow me to say thank you while I'm at it!

Magion02

🀣🀣 Hey Skyler! - Who is your favorite artists? Boichi, Riichiro Inagaki, Tetsuya Nomura, Eiichiro Oda, Eisaku and Akira Toriyama - What's your favorite characters? Gravity Queen Kat from Gravity Rush - Where did you learn to draw? I'm self-taught! - What's your favorite food? :p Ramen 🍜 - When you don't know what to draw, what do you do to find ideas? I'll flip through my artbook collections for ideas or from what's trending during that time! - Will you make short tutorials later? For Patreon only, I think I will! - What style of music do you like listening? It depends on what I'm doing, but most of the time I listen to games OST while working e. I've been listening to Nier Automata's recently. You have a nice day too!

Magion02

Hi Magion, how are you? There are my questions. I read in an answer that you like to play the guitar, which is your favorite genre or which artist do you listen to? Do you prefer sweet or savory food?

Kurisu

Have you ever been cought in a art block and couldn't find things to draw? I am an artist but have no inspiration to start drawing again, do you have any tips to get some new inspiration to start drawing again?

Pether Sand

How do you keep yourself motivated?

We the same age! I'm in the process of trying to figure out how I want to draw style wise so I'm just trying all sorts of methods out, i live in New Zealand I work full time in a milk factory 12hr days ugh so when I'm not working I'm either drawing or gaming 😊

Kageka

Hi Ely!! I tend to not think too hard on what to draw. I draw what makes me happy 😊 But to elaborate on my answer, I draw what's trendy at that time(especially fan arts)! As for original artworks, I have a huge library of random ideas in my head that I accumulated from things that I enjoyed reading/watching. Just waiting to be harvested. But when I'm having an art block (which happens at times despite having tons of ideas) Then I'll shift the source of my inspirations to my surroundings. It could be the food I ate, the weather or even my cats. I hope that answers your question πŸ’–

Magion02

Heyyy I'm 31 and my birthday is on the 2nd of July πŸ˜€ my answer varies from time to time! So I'll copy and paste my answer from Christy's question since she asked the same question. Favorite artists :Boichi, Riichiro Inagaki, Tetsuya Nomura, Eiichiro Oda, Eisaku and Akira Toriyama! As for hobby! I love to play guitar but I got back to gaming recently! Bought a Nintendo Switch! But still, I really don't spend much time on other things besides drawing πŸ˜‚

Magion02

Hi Magion02, Just like the last time :p '(Ask me anything!)' -Marry Meeee xD ( just for the joke xD ) Here is some question for you :p - Who is your favorite artists? - What's your favorite characters? - Where did you learn to draw? - What's your favorite food? :p - When you don't know what to draw, what do you do to find ideas? - Will you make short tutorials later? - What style of music do you like listening? Have a Nice Day :3

ERedSkyler

Hey! Awesome, I'm happy to hear that! I've been drawing for the longest time, ever since I'm in kindergarten. I can say that, I draw almost every single day :) I did enter an art college but then, it wasn't a pleasant experience. So I can say that I'm self-taught! 80% of my art knowledge/skills came from pure experience and failures. Hope that answer your questions! :D you too, have a good day and all the best to you!

Magion02

Hmmm, I admire your decisiveness. I'm not sure how to pick one because if it tastes good, it's my favorite lol. If I were to think of one. I'll go with Ramen 🍜 Put ramen in front of me and I'll devour it anytime.

Magion02

Hi there! Welcome πŸ’–I'm really happy to hear that my art inspires you! Regardless of what style or genre you are aiming to go for they always share the same fundamentals. Practice your strokes, draw thousands of perfect circles, lines, and shapes(look up for art fundamental exercises online). Do as many as possible :) with good fundamentals, it will be easier to move on to a more complex subject such as anatomy. Without good anatomy understanding, creating poses will be extremely challenging. I remember drawing hundreds of poses in muscle forms for months. You can try it too! That way you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Always use references too!

Magion02

My answer varies from time to time πŸ€” but in general, I'd say Boichi, Riichiro Inagaki, Tetsuya Nomura, Eiichiro Oda, Eisaku and Akira Toriyama!

Magion02

I've always wondered how do you choose what to draw?

Ok thanks

Kageka

Some of those were answered on the previous Q&A. There's also super sexy info there about Magion's panties. Kyaaaaa~ https://www.patreon.com/posts/ask-me-anything-24214202

Kageka

Hi, I'm an artist too and I instantly fell in love with your art when I saw it. Every time I see your drawings makes me feel like I need to do my best too. I wanna know, how did you start in the art world? Did someone teach you how to draw? Or did you learn by yourself? Have a good day :D

Wyn

What's your favorite food? Mine's cornflakes.

Vasily Lavrov

Hi, how are you? I am a new fan and really love your art, it inspires me to start drawing again after years. I wanted to ask if you can share any tips or routine you do to get better at drawing? (Faces, poses) Thanks again for sharing your incredible art!
